If he really wants to come back, no option or extentions can hold him. I doubt they can extend/buy if he wants to come back. Would be really funny if Cuadrado makes some mistake and everybody starts slating that we should get Salah back.

You're Already too late. It's already happening

I dont think so, he's not clever enough and his passing, ball control and technical abilities arent good enough.

Out-performed Cuadrado? did you see Cuadrado plays in Fiorentina a lot so you can actually decide Salah's been better in 7 games? or you say it just becuase of his goals? cause thats ridiculous and not very serious.

I watch Serie A on a weekly basis. Juan performed well last season, but hasn't done much since the WC. The stats just add to the cause.

Salah's very dumb, though. He just about remembers where to put the ball to score, but he has somehow scored 6 goals. He might be clever enough to play for Wigan next season. -_-

I will be surprised if he want to go back to England. He has everything in Fiorentina.

well i c him not going to continue with fiorentina but also neither come back to chelsea, he tends to play well so he can get better offers from big teams except chelsea..so i guess his career at chelsea is over whatever he stay in italy or else

Ok, let's discuss.

Why is Cuadrado a waste of money? He has yet to play a full match. Early to judge mate.

We don't have a problem with FFP at all. We spent big this summer and still came out even(+-). This is without counting the countless player loan money we get and TV revenue + stadium revenue etc.

Don't label a player a flop before he played a full match just because Momo Salah happens to hit the form of his life.

PS: I had to sadly check on wich thread i am. They seem all the same today.

maybe because he scored 6 goals in 23 appearance in firoentina while salah did in 7 appearance

End of the day I'm elated Salad is playing so well! It will only drive up his transfer kitty and help us purchase Pogba.

I don't think the price can go up since the price was already set right?

Wasn't like 15 million Euros?

That Fiorentina have the option to buy him at that price this summer.

So I'm not sure how that will go....

I really don't get all the fuss created around Salah. At Basel and Fiorentina Salah has more of a free role in the pitch. He drops at times to midfield, goes to the wings or play as a shadow striker. At Chelsea he is more of a winger than anything else. So clearly the system is a key factor. Playtime is also a factor as far as confidence is concerned because clearly he is not suffering in form. That is why he is finishing like he used to finish at Basel and the Egyptian National team. When he was clearly not given much play time that affected his morale. And clearly that showed in the few games he got. Having said that he is still young and as I said last season in developing stages he will go through periods of inconsistencies. So I doubt he will keep developing without having drops of form a long the way. No one can blame Mourinho for not giving him time too. The guy simply wants to win silverware and it is about time Chelsea wins the EPL and hopefully the CL too.

Though I am not and never was a fan of Serie A , but the Italian league cannot be dismissed like some people attempted to do so. It is a strong league with strong players. I believe Cuadrado didn't come from the moon, he came from Serie A. Salah had good performances against Atalanta, Torino, Inter Milan and Juventus. These are no easy teams. Sure Inter is not the Inter everyone is used to, but still it is no easy team neither is Juventus. Not to mention Tottenham, which became like a hobby for Salah to dismantle and eliminate. And please, there is no such thing as an EL player and CL player. How people came up with such categorization I have no clue. Not long ago many of current Chelsea players were struggling in the CL and fell in the EL.

Having said that I think Cuadrado is more suited to Chelsea's system. He has speed, control, good crosses and the ability to take shots from outside the box. H e definitely needs time to adapt to the system and the players on the field. He is definitely an upgrade for Salah and Schurrle in this system ( though I really miss Schurrle). Salah should be keplt on loan for another year at Fiorentina and which should guarantee him playtime and room to develop. At the end of the loan period we will see if the he develops suits Chelsea's system or not and based on that a proper decision whether to sell him or bring him back can be taken. Meanwhile it is good to see him perform well. Either way it is a win win situation for both Chelsea and Salah.

Exactly.

Schurlle and Salah prefer to be supporting strikers. Playing in a free role behind the striker. Mourinho never plays this system so they'll never fit in.

In fact coming to think of it, Mata and KDB love this same system too.

maybe the constraints come off at Chelsea next season and our side will be free to develop more. this is what I've been hoping for since Mourinho returned; just waiting to get the trophy/trophies out of the way, fulfill someone's or some peoples' expectations and MOVE ON afterward.

I have to wonder whether Oscar leaving and someone like Salah or another player coming into central attacking role will be an improvement or if Chelsea just need to generally loosen-up, play with more speed and having a Plan B formation will do the trick.

I'm itching to see RLC on the pitch too.

Lastly, I like seeing Juve get beaten and I'm happy for Salah there.

I wish this thread would just END already. it has been like a dog chasing its own tail for a few days now. our good brothers- the Egyptians fans mostly- are taking this Salah thing personally as if big MOU was after Salah the whole time in hopes of destroying the miraculous talent. I've read most comments on here since Salah scored this crazy/insane/mad first goal against Juve and I can see three types of people posting on here

1- some who acknowledge Salah's talent, yet see him best fit where he is now and not in the EPL. these people aren't Salah haters. they rate the guy but see this league just may not be his ( here comes our brothers, the Egyptians).

2- some who are fans or another winger at Chelsea and want to make the case why salah isn't that good and wouldn't make it here. these people aren't being practical and use their favoritism as a method of judgment. I wouldn't pay much attention to them honestly....but then again, here comes our brothers the .....

3- then our some Egyptians- who are mostly like those in number 2 use favoritism as a method of judgment. worse yet, they use that method with nationalistic bias and that's not healthy. they tend to take every criticism of salah personally an think that not only MOU but also everyone England , let alone Chelsea, is a Salah hater and take it upon themselves to protect their pride and national hero. their responses seem to lack much rational and seem to be very personal. nothing wrong with that concept. but all the wrongs in the world in the way its being done. if fans were started defending and standing for certain players for their national backgrounds, the country - or at least west London- would be getting ready to defend itself against a Brazilian invasion.

I am a HUGEEEE salah fan. I think he will grow to be better and bigger. I think he will end up in a much bigger team than Fiorentina . maybe not now maybe in two year's time. I don't see salah being a success in England though. his style of play isn't what the EPL is about and that's NOT a bad thing. it is what it is. this boy might shine well in Italy or Spain .. who wouldn't wanna see this kid play for one of the top 3 or 4 teams in Italy or Spain.. I mean whats wrong with that? isn't Chelsea one of the top 3 or 4 here too.. why get insulted when someone thinks salah isn't cut out for the EPL then ?

like I said last time, I think Salah's current form did not from Basel. I think that he owes most of that to his time at Chelsea and to the coaching of MOU himself. you cant be that ignorant not to see he learned a thing or two from Chelsea . his talent was never in question. he needed some confidence and he didn't get the time he needed to build that confidence. not Mou's fault. its Salah's. you come to a team with Chelsea's might, you better come ready or benched bcz a team that fights for his life every year going after and trying to win 5 trophies will not have the time to develop. they want instant results.

I Wish salah all the best in the world. he's a great kid. I love his style , his demeanor, his ethics on and off the field. though I don't see him back here in England altogether, I think this kid - provided he keeps his head straight- will become something big one day.

PS: I've watched Cuadrado against Everton and Burnley. I think he's a decent player and will be a valuable asset for Chelsea. I like his movement and i can easily feel his presence. a little bit of a ball hog though but I don't see how this could be an issue Mou cant take care of.
