I think he'll do very well initially but his shortcoming will become apparent as the season goes on. He's a definite upgrade on Fellaini and Carrick at his age so I still think it was dumb to sell him there. He's not going to elevate their overall level like all their fans are now saying. When they play quick passing, highly mobile midfields theyll struggle.

The question is,..how often are they going to face highly mobile midfields like that?

I agree he's not going to set them on fire in the Champions league or any big game, but he will do a good job for them over the entire season

Play more like as an attacking midfielder yesterday, he shoot and did lob passing. Actually he is playing quite well, especially in the second half against Real. Keylor Navas making a blunder, but if not because of Matic, think MU wouldn't scored a goal.

You're right, guess that's exactly why Matic was their outstanding Player yesterday ...

Matić left Bale alone in the box in first 10 mins and he almost scored, and was also at fault for second goal when he fell over  and left Isco unmarked. Lukaku missed a sitter. Hope they continue like that.
