I think we're just doomed to have a central midfield consisting of players who can't do anything in the final third of the pitch. Why Matic attempts to get forward when his left foot seldom finds the target and he himself knows these limitations is baffling. I guess that's not his fault, the attacking players should be in those rolls, but come on even Maka could thump a shot when there was room for him. Neither Mikel or Matic is capable of that.. Mikel-Matic.. Mikel-Matic.. -_-

By the same logic Oscar and hazard are just as effective in attack: same shooting ability?

the fact hazard is better in all other attacking skill would not matter.

Yeah, missed the point too.. It wasn't about shooting ability at all. It was a lack of

Have you ever seen Maka do this?

Or that?

Or this and that?

Man you sort of missed my point.. It wasn't about Maka or whatever, it's just how inept he is. 3 anomalies don't expunge an otherwise poor record, at least Maka knew his limitations.

Nope I got your point, but my point was about your Mikel matic comparison.

when you criticize matic for his lack of a attacking aptitude, I have no issue even if not necessarily agree.

however, when you put Mikel in there, then it's like comparing Oscar to hazard because hazard has poor shooting and finishing compared to other AMs, which makes him similar to Oscar in that only - only being the keyword.

Oh I see.

I wasn't comparing them, no no. It was more how they're so almost similar that our midfield is so static and passive. It has to be one or the other, having both is far too restricting and almost a burden on the rest of the players either side of them.

Would be a typical Buckenalo judgement call, sold him once, but twice?! When will we learn?!

At least he's a valuable squad player. But this one in and one out policy fucks everything up.

Lol sister wants a CR 7 trikot for birthday, day's getting worse and worse.

Didn't look too bothered about scoring did he?

Same way he looked when he assisted Hazard's second goal against Bournemouth. Refused to celebrate even when his teammates tried to get him to.

He's off and I think he knows it.

I noticed the same thing, but didn't make much of it, I hope that's the case. So far, Ivan HAS to be gone/benched. Oscar liked an Instagram photo linking him with Juventus. And Matic's body language suggests the rumors of him being shopped are not just rumors.

That's three players where the probability of them leaving looks pretty high. If those are the only players that leave or are demoted to bench come August, I'll be satisfied. I maintain the sentiment that there's no way more than 4 players are being shipped/relegated to bench, hopefully they make up atleast 3/4 of the players, and can fetch solid returns.

It's the end of the season and we have nothing to play for, Gerrard and Steven Fletcher scored at Stamford Bridge after we secured the title last term and both looked like they weren't bothered.

You say that but Costa celebrated his avidly and Hazard was delighted with his work too. Matic's must be more down to continued speculation about his departure as well as his treatment this term under both Mourinho & Hiddink. I don't blame him, but wow lol.
