His movement off the ball was excellent and he linked up very well with the players considering he just arrived at the club. But he is obviously lacking a lot of fitness as I would have expected. Hopefully when he's 100% fit he can regain that yard of pace he seems to have lost atm.

How about in January if he still can't find his right feet then you bring this premature as heck argument? Today he was much better than Torres + Ba + Lukaku in all three previous EPL matches, so I guess it's one step forward.

Maybe my standards have gone down after suffering with Torres for so long, but i thought he had a pretty decent game, he missed a couple of chances, but a striker reguarly getting in position to miss those chances is something we have longed for ever since Drogba lost his form.

Cliche as it is, to write Eto'o off after just 1 game is just nonsensical. It's just the same as most of us thought Ba will be great for us after a good debut performance against Southampton back in January and look what happened since then. Give it a few games before passing conclusive judgment on him..
