Cech's helmet 220 Posted August 11, 2014 Share Posted August 11, 2014 There is a reason Schrurle and Willian don't score and assist as much as people expect them to do. they're being played out of position because Hazard owns that left wing that every right footed winger likes to play in. players like Schurrle and Willian like to cut in and take shot, especially Schurrle. they're never going to get in dangerous area's when they're playing on the right. the best thing they can do is take a player on and cross the ball hoping for someone like Costa to head it in or tap it.I think Willian is more of a no10, the way he shields the ball is remarkable. probably the best player we have playing with his back behind the goal. he's really agile and powerful when he's on the ball, this is why I like him. still don't know why Oscar owns that no10 role because I think he should play as a cm but thats another story. but it brings us to the problem: willian is not playing in his best position, so don't expect him to score as many as Hazard and Oscar do. the later 2 play in their prefferred positions, Schurrle and Willian don't. killer1257 and Rambo 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Especially the backheel flick for the big chance Oscar had at the end was gorgeous, dunno if many people saw it because it looked like he was tackled. Willian, Oscar and Hazard where all on the field at the beginning of the second half and we had 1 of our best passing games since a very very long time (ofcourse aided by a brilliant Cesc, and a striker that links-up well). I can see Mourinho starting with Ramires or Willian next week instead of Oscar, but i don't see anything wrong with that. Like i said it's going to be a long season, and we can allow Oscar a steady rise back into form with the options we have. I hope we end up adopting our second-half (first 20 minutes) playstyle. We had some nice build-up play coupled with an on point pressing game, but we where trying to be a bit too fancy sometimes (passing another time instead of shooting). I've always thought he has better games at 10 so maybe that's his role next season, using his workrate to help cover Fabregas and Hazard.Would love to see Andre on the right and one of Willian and Oscar to really step up.
