Jase 43,479
Just saw this...Phil Agius @philagius 16m If you think Mourinho's winding up Spurs with the Willian thing, just wait until he loans him to Arsenal That would be absolutely hilarious to see! bababoom 4,478
In my mind I'm thinking Hazard + Willian = the new version of Robben + DuffI think Mourinho has tried Mazacar but it just doesn't work and now is making steps to correct it. If that means players come and go - so be it.I loved our playing style in that season - was amazing The thing with Robben and Duff is that they're both out and out wingers, although Hazard and Willian can play on the wing, it's best when they can interchange and not be forced to stay out on the wing. I would compare Duff and Robben to the likes of Moses and Schurrle in terms of how direct they are. Back then we were playing counter attack football, similar to United, look at how many wingers they have, Young, Valancia, Nani and Zaha. We're going to play a different style under Mourinho now considering the amount of attacking Midfielders we have, it's not about counter attacking at blistering pace, more like controlling the pace and tempo of the game. Pizy 18,907
Willian looks so out of place in that video against CSKA. He looks like the only one trying to play football. All of his teammates are just standing there like lumps.

Blue Gino 377
I don't get the complaints. I thought everyone trusted Mourinho? Was the midfield good enough going forward without him? I don't think so personally. Mourinho said his intent was to destroy opponents this season and signing Willian proves just that. Who gets sold or loaned out is interesting because Mourinho said Mata is a player he likes but no one saw the Willian deal coming so who's to say Jose gets an offer he can't resist? First it was just Rooney, then there was a plan B or C and now he's getting someone totally out of left field.

kellzfresh 7,229
I didn't say we don't have the players to make through balls - I meant we don't have the movement or width for players to effectively use through balls - e.g Fast Wingers making intelligent runs and not leaving everything to the Striker... So EVERY striker we have signed barring Drogba (freak ) has been shit? - BA - proven goal scorer in the prem, comes here = shitLukaku - ripped it up at WBATorres - was good now average Even AVERAGE strikers can score goals with the right service and I'm sorry - our playing style does not work for a single striker - it's a fallacy we have deluded ourselves with for years...Go watch us when we had Robben + Duff on the wings - we literally raped everybody - that was Mourinho at his best, if he brings that brand of football back I will be delighted... Pls tell these people who don't know mourinho. He uses two fast paced wingers on the flanks in every team he's coached. Moses is the only other option that is natural on the RW, what does mou do? He MASSIVELY upgrades that position with willian and people are complaining.Striker is the top priority, but they all look unlikely. Opportunity comes to prevent rivals from getting stronger and getting us even stronger and we take it.We use 4-2-3-1 which should have two fast people on the wings and an AM. Many fans have been hoping we play like barcelona when we use a different formation. The teams that use our formations have two dribblers on their flanks which was how we were under mourinho when we destroyed the league.Chelsea - robben, duff, j.coleDortmund - abumeyang, reusMadrid - dimaria, ronaldo Bayern last season- robben, riberyChelsea now - hazard, willianI don't think people know thatDRIBBLING IS PART OF ATTRACTIVE FOOTBALL AND WHAT WEVE LACKED FOR YEARS ON THE FLANKS

Parky 739
LOL from the tottenham forum: Chelsea are a scumbag club with filth like John Terry and assholes like Ashley Cole at the helm. I actually think that I do hate them more than Arsenal because they are the lowest of the lows and they hate us for no ****ing reason. At least there is history and classic passionate rivalry between us and Arsenal but with Chelsea it is a meaningless, cruel hatred where they would love to see us come to harm! The way AVB and Rafa Benitez were treated there was horrendous. Mourinho is a smug **** with no class but the fans still suck his dick and eat whatever shit he feeds them. A recent example would be Chelsea fans claiming he is a tactical genius for taking his foot off the pedal against Hull. If that was Benitez the fans would be like "wtf only 2-0 against Hull!! **** you Benitez!". Terrible club with glory hunting equally terrible support. Especially Mata.Willian - Mata - HazardST Willian - Oscar - HazardST Hazard on LW, Hazard lite on RW. Very exciting that's for sure.
nachikethas 1,154
Am really confused, didn't mourinho say he is plan b considering rooney as first. So if we get rooney even though that's hard what will happen to William, or we will get both?
YouNameIt 1,511
I dont get why people here so often see with tunnelvision. With this I mean that we are definatley in need of a striker, but for that reason why would we stop improving our squad in other positions?Us signing Willian doesnt mean we are less interested in Rooney. It is two completley different things. Some might argue we need a DM more than a RW, but again, this is not relevant. I think this is a GREAT signing. Lots of competition for the positions and our only natural RW is Moses.

communicate 2,703
If you put "Willian vs" on youtube you can see some of his games against russian teams. For example this one against CSKA:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrQNnj38XrAHe likes to come inside a lot eventhough he is a right footed playing on the right.
