ChelseasMessiah 304
Yeah, I thought he worked hard but nothing really payed divident. He'll flourish soon enough.I just thought Mourinho could have waited 10 more minutes before bringing him on as we were really on top with Mata Oscar and Hazard on at the same time. Worked his butt off. didierforever
Rekin 835
Schurrle is on the wings what Ramires is in the middle. Players who work their asses off throughout the game, quick and whom you would expect to make key contributions on both ends of the pitch.I only wish that Schurrle was as good at finishing as Ramires is, then he would be a world-class player.I personally believe that the squad would work better with one AM less, but if I had a free pick of one to remove, it would not be Schurrle. didierforever 7,349
LEARN TO FINISH SHIRLEY... come on!!! should have won us the game. the guy is a beast. works so hard. but his finishing might already have cost us 3 points atleast (one against everton, 2 today). Ankit 3,176
Kalou > Schurrle. And no, that's not an overreaction. Then i think you could be very wrong. Just give him some time to settle down in a different league. Although i loved kalou and his celebrations.

Jase 43,479
At the moment, one may say Kalou is a better finisher than Schurrle but if anyone says the former is better overall than the latter, then they clearly have a short term memory. Apart from scoring the goals, have people actually forgotten how many brainfart moments Kalou usually produced when he's on the ball?! His final product is very average. He often loses the ball and very easily too as a result of overdribbling with the ball. I remember back then fans were going frustrated and tearing their hair up watching Kalou and his silly moments.. Blue Warrior 109
Schurrle is still making the transition to the premier league, the potential is there. If the development from Leverkusen happens we are looking at a German international of the highest order. You don't get time at the Blues. Henrique 9,133
That's pretty much the definition of an overreaction. What the fuck are you talking about? Who is Schurrle? Kalou was a UCL winner, PL winner, scored many important goals for Chelsea, played some good matches.Schurrle might become better than Kalou, but saying Schurlle is better than Kalou is not a overreaction, but a stupid thing to say. Henrique 9,133
Was tremendous when he came on. Should have really started. As I said before, this is the problem in this forum. Schurlle made a good tactical job but failed to score in a crucial moment (as usual). He was far from "tremendous". lol Kojo
Henrique 9,133
Lloris is the best keeper in the world when it comes to rushing out, would've had to be an exceptionally exquisite finish for Andre to score that.Schurlle should have scored, Ramires would have done it with a clinical finish like the one against Swindon in Capital Cup. It was pretty obvious what the poster meant was not "Kalou's lifetime achievements at Chelsea are greater than Schurrle's" or anything remotely similar (and reading them that way is bizarre at best) but rather was referring to the heavily vilified (and mostly ineffective) Kalou of the past few years (and CL and PL winner is a hilarious attempt to make a mediocre player seem like a great player just because he played on great teams). Schurrle is a better player than that Kalou by a fairly wide margin and even if he isn't, it will take more than a few misses to claim that hence the claim being an overreaction. I know that's complicated stuff, but do try to follow. Ainsley Harriott and kellzfresh
