Sportsmail understands that the west London outfit have lined up Nike as their new kit partner and will buyout adidas' current contract worth up to £30milion-per-annum - six years early.

Meh fuck that :L Same sponsorship revenue. REALLY? Can't we get someone who can bloody do deals...? We paid Adidas 10M profit to cancel our deal.

Thats good. I would love Umbro as well, but they probably cant afford that much money.

Im very nostalgic, getting back to Umbro would be amazing too. But if the Nike is true, I wont complain realy. As long its not one of those like UA or NB.

Don't nike own umbro

So who was terminating the contract? Us or adidas? It makes no sense. We paid 10m to adidas in order to find better deal, yet Nike will be offering us the same?

Not anymore. Nike kinda ruined Umbro. They bought them, changed all their clubs like City, PSV, etc to Nike and that was it. Umbro was bought by iconix brand group in 2012 and is now slowly getting back in football world with Everton, WHU and PSV all wearing Umbro now.

How would we feel about something like this?

People would complain that it's too plain, but I think it's nice. Switch the socks and I think it'd be a nice, simple kit.

The spokesperson added: "adidas AG wishes to expressly thank Chelsea Football Club for their always professional and successful collaboration, which has included, among other successes, the time of their UEFA Champions League title in 2012 as well as two Premier League titles."

That's what it's all about...<_<

They're saying that the current Adidas deal is worth £30m per year, not the potential Nike one.

No way would we use UA.... They make awful designs worse than Adidas.

$$$$ means more than design

Under Armour has been making real strides to compete with Nike. They've already jumped Adidas in the US, have signed some top American athletes to lucrative deals and have been looking to get more into international markets.

In the past, they've been reliant on their compression gear, and if I remember correctly, even an executive admitted that they're too reliant on cold weather for sales. Signing one of the most popular clubs in the world to a good kit deal would do wonders for establishing Under Armour as a more powerful sportswear brand.

Ah my apologies :D I'm up for Nike anyway but they need to give us at least 50M

Believe me, I'm not excited for Under Armour either, but it could be worse. Just imagine this in Chelsea blue with a Chelsea badge. It'd be much better than the shit we're getting next season.
