Looking back on those kits with the gold, the novelty wore off fast, quite shiny and looked a bit off in certain lighting conditions.

TBH, the 2010/11 kit with red collar is one of my favourites. I don't mind a little bit of red.

No it doesn't, because there is a spurs/liverpool bird on a Chelsea shirt, the last one is the only acceptable one.
