Clevemayer 764
WTF, Chelsea kicked Adidas out and you don't dare to think they didn't so having a new big Brand behind? I would bet on Nike ore some crazy NFL-Kit-Producer spending big to get into european football. Would love Umbro though... for some vintage reason would love that... and Umbro belongs to Nike afaik. Pizy 18,948
Id be delighted with Nike. Especially as an American who has always grown up wearing the brand. Under Armor wouldn't be too terrible, though they make ugly ass kits, but if the money is crazy that's all that matters. They used to be kind of a joke here but they now have some of the biggest American athletes representing them like Steph Curry (world's best basketball player) Jordan Speith (world's best golfer) Tom Brady (world's best American football player) and Bryce Harper (world's best baseball player). They're the real deal now. kmk108 and MichaelDance

As I said, 'marketing 101'/'branding 101', having the status symbol of Nike or Adidas in European football is paramount for our 'top club' image. While I agree that Nike and adidas have special power, I cant agree with liverpool comparisson. They are shit because their team is shit because their board is incompetent. Not because they switched to different kits. After all they had reebook for some time and were successful. I dont like UA in football world, but I can assure you they are pushing to become on same level as nike and adidas and they probably will become huge. Right now they are already big in Usa but their international plans are big. Just look at their CEO plans. Kinda similar to phone market. Samsung, sony, lg etc...apple was a thing in usa back then. Now eu is one of apple biggest markets. Anyway you look, UA will be huge in 5-10 yrs in european football. If we get them it it wont mean we will become lesser club because of that. Results will show that. But UA make some ugly kit designs indeed. If we get Nike or Umbro I will be happy because they make much nicer kits kmk108, the wes and MichaelDance

It's an impossible task, and it certainly won't play out like that for Chelsea. "oh well, it's more money, that's all that matters'' - Marketing is more valuable than getting £20m extra on a contract, for the Chelsea brand to be with anyone other kit manufacturer other than Nike right now is the worst thing that can happen to the clubs image.  ..... scargo 75
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-3585489/Chelsea-want-50m-year-new-kit-sponsor-parting-adidas.html Chelsea want at least £50m a year from new kit sponsor after parting from adidas ..... Nike would be prepared to pay that but, intriguingly, are close to agreeing a shirt deal with Spurs from the start of the 2017-18 season when they could be sharing Wembley as a home ground with Chelsea. The other possibilities are Japanese firm Uniqlo, to complement the £40m-a-year shirt sponsorship with Yokohama, or Li Ning from football boom country China.
