Could've sworn that on the Chelsea Megastore website it said that the GK kit was going to be green? That looks pretty blue/cyan to me.

I hope that's not it, it looks foul IMO.

Its green and its the kit. Depending of the way you take a picture, or how your display is calibrated you might see blue or whatever you want to call it. Its the design and if the official site is saying its green, then its green. End of it.

I guess i'm just hoping that it's a fake due to it not looking like a shade of green. If that is the real kit then whatever, the Chelsea staff obviously have a pretty warped colour chart in their offices but that's beside the point.

If that's our GK kit then tbh i'm disappointed with how ugly it is.

Its not Chelsea, its Adidas, and Adidas just don't choose the name of colors. Colores name are set. For example, the "Cyan" you posted has nothing to do with the Cyan used in pressed design:

Im not used to how adidas achieve the colors on the kits, but no matter how they do it, if they achieve a green, then its a green. If Puma or Nike achieve the same color, it will be green as well. Its not like they randomly choose a color and then find a name for it.

Cyan is a absolute equality between green and blue in RGB. Kit is clearly have more green than blue.

That Tyres/Tires part isn't going away anytime soon because if they remove it. It will just say Yokohama and then we would be Sponsored by the Government/Parliament of The City of Yokohama in Japan.

they're Company Name is - Yokohama Tire / Yokohama Tyre / Yokohama Rubber.

if they remove the Tyres part they will add Rubber underneath the Yokohama Logo.

It's almost as if we hadn't had the Samsung Mobile logo before. The reason Yokohama is sponsoring Western teams is to brand awareness, its expansion and to penetrate in the market share. I remember WHS teasing us about the new sponsor saying it was Asiatic and that he hasn't heard of it yet. So I suppose it's not a well known brand in Europe and other parts in America (although they've been sponsoring American teams) and they want people to easily associate them with their products. I think the tyres will stay at most two seasons, but it may be as well as just this one. Once people know they're a tire brand, it'll go away

Exactly.

They clearly want to avoid the "what the fuck is Yokohama" questions from millions of people. By year three I suspect it'll be gone.

People dont mind the word itself, but the tyres is completely out of place and its clear its there to teach people that Yokohama is a company selling tyres, since in the original logo there is only "Yokohama", then someone realized its a very weak name for a company and "Yokohama" alone doesn't mean anything. Most people would think Yokohama's tourism board is supporting Chelsea, like Arzeibajan Atlético's sponsorship.

Samsung also removed the mobile after 3 seasons, but at least that made sense, because back in 2005 it was really difficult to associate Samsung and celular phones and the mobile was very well designed, while the tyres looks 100% awful.
