If Manchester City get Pellegrini they're getting a mid-table specialist.

Manchester United just hired a mid-table 'specialist', yet despite having talented teams he's failed to win a single trophy (with Everton).

If we get Mourinho the league is ours.

Could see them getting Frank de Boer actually. City want to get their youth in the team more (apparently) while still staying somewhat successful. He'd probably be the best candidate for that.

LOL, midtable specialist.

Malaga would of beaten Chelsea this season. He took Malaga, even with financial obstacles to decent positions in La Liga.

you are underrating pellegrini massively. he is an amazing coach. great philosophy, great vision and he can communicate with players. he had no support at madrid at all though. he wanted sneidjer and robben to stay- madrid sold them. kaka, benzema, cr all were players who have been bought by the president and not by pellegrini. he had no say at all in building the squad and still played a decent season. futhermore he had to deal with raul, and did great with it (benching him). he had a lot of problems and still wasnt that bad in his 1st year. .

and i dont need to say anything about malaga or villareal. he both managed them to unbelievable highs

First, starting by LOL is for me not intelligent at all, and he was right, midtable team yeah, to lose four one against a second division team when you are Real Madrid is ...crazy, and to be beaten by a weak Lyon is also a scandal.Secondly, even QPR won against us, this is a transitional season my friend, you dont expect much, and surely not consistency.

We judge managers by trophies. In my case for City, Martinez > Pellegrini.

Typical English media harping on about Pellegrini being average, see it's this type of short sighted mentality is why the media in this country get pelters all the time.

Pellegrini is a superb manager, very clever and well respected amongst managers around the world. Listen to the English media and they will have you believe he has just come out of kids coaching.

Absolute toss pots, honestly.

True, Martin Samuel made a article the other day completely slating Pellegrini while praising Moyes to the hilt, made me cringe. He also said how Curbishley and Big Sam is proof that English managers don't get fair cracks at top jobs, but conviently missed out not only the pigs ear Sam made at NUFC but also the fact Roy got a big chance at Liverpool and nearly relegated them.

On a more serious note, it'll be scary to see what a proper manager (Pellegrini) will do with a squad like City's. Even with Mancini's evident lack of managerial ability, they still managed to win the league last season, albeit through goal difference (which is still an utter joke if you ask me). Chances are, they'll be really scary next season, especially if they strengthen the squad (AKA get rid of tripe like Barry), but we'll just have to see.
