City owners have connections with the Malaga owners, making for an easy deal. If they we're going for Mourinho, they'd have to have an 'Eden Hazard style' wage-war with us again.

Mourinho to United had more weight to it, due to how he acted during the CL draw.

I remember your prediction that Man City would go on to rule England in the next few years. You would have been proved right had it not been for Mancini screwing up in the Transfer Window.

Have you actually looked at the Honors of both Managers?

Pellegrini has teams have won 7 trophies compared to Martinez's two. Are you speaking about just England?

Criticism of Pellegrini is that he hasn't won trophies in Europe but his work at Villarreal and Malaga must be noted. He is a good 'coach' as in he's a good tactician etc but I am not sure of his managerial ability i.e handling City squad, media, probably mind games with Moyes or Mourinho

I remember when Pellegrini was @ San Lorenzo. You could see a definite drop in San Lorenzo when Pellegrini left. He did a good job @ River Plate & that is a BIG CLUB!!! Again, you people are only bothered about what happens in the Old World. You should try to expand your horizons a bit more.

Oh I failed to mention Pellegrini's time w/ RM:

48 matches 36 wins 5 draws 7 losses 75.00 % win percentage

Not sure why people don't rate that as a serious accomplishment

Exactly. He was the one who had to put all the superstars -that were bought- to play in the first place.

Who would I rather manage City -

A manager who failed at Madrid (in a way) and has an Intertoto Cup, Copa Chile, Argentinian league title from over a decade ago and a league title with a team from Ecuador, or -

A manager with numerous Coppa Italia's, numerous Serie A titles and a Premier League title, numerous Supercoppa's, a Community Shield and an F.A. Cup?

Manchester City's players are underachievers and the weak ones, not Mancini. Mancini was and is a great manager. Pellegrini is in no way shape or form an upgrade just because he got 2 teams to surprise positions in Europa/the league.

I don't see Mancini leaving being a bad thing for us at all.

Mancini has an awful record in Europa.

His Inter team played some awful football, they won the italian title only because of the brillance of some players.

Manchester City has the same problem that the Inter Team he coached, some boring and awful football save by brilliant players.

You also failed to mention what happened in the Champions League that season.

He's a good manager and City have a good squad (although nowhere near as good as some people think it is) and they'll invest, but I'm happy with this change. If Mourinho comes then we're the favourites for the league in my opinion, and rightly so. We're a good team, with a deep squad if all our loan players come back and we make the right signings.

Personally I'm quite happy with the news about Pellegrini and Falcao over the last few days. Dodging bullets all over the shop.
