What exactly did he give to Chelsea ?He could have been better but he scored the decider in the FA Cup quarter final replay against United, 2 goals in the Cup game against Southampton on his debut. Got us back in the game in the semi final game against City which we unfortunately ended up losing. Popped up with a few prem goals like the decisive goals against WBA in our 1-0 victory. Could have offered more but he certainly was not awful. Las7 951 Posted August 21, 2013 Share Posted August 21, 2013 Tonight was a big chance to show Jose that he has his place in the squad - I think he blew it, doubt he would get many more stats unless he scores a goal or two as a sub. His place will be in serious doubt if we sign another striker. I do feel he does need a run in the team before being written off - but he needed to score a goal tonight to be given such a run. Anyhow Lukaku is clearly our best striker so I hope he starts against United. I hope he can tear them to shreds. Only player up top which unsettles opposition defenders and is able to get into shooting positions often. Same old same old from last season, Torres and Ba have CHANGED NOTHING since Mou returned. Lukaku needs to start against MU next Monday. Bad day, bad game for him...And I'm disappointed with some members because Torres takes 2 years with kajillion of played matches to make some people realize he is actually shit, while Ba only gets 1/100 of the credit Torres had...
