coentrao is a world class player, If we could get him for 18m or less i'd do it in a hardbeat. Could be played left CM in a 4-3-3. Cole, coentrao, hazard would destroy defences.

Real madrid is a much bigger club, and there was a portuguese coach + lots of portuguese/brazilian players. I'm sure he would consider now.

sure it wouldnt be a critical signing but it certainly wouldnt make the squad any weaker. and although bertrand is hard working i dont think he will ever have enough quality to be a starter. coentrao would raise the level of competition

Earlier today I saw someone re-tweeting something Benoit Assou-Ekotto said which might have been suggesting he's moving away from Tottenham. Coentrao going there makes sense if that's true, could even be somehow involved in the Bale deal.
