Kojo 4,676
I wouldn't say Torres was excellent, but he was good. The work ethic was there and he did his job to lead the line. However I disagree with Redknapp's comments on this being his best performance. I also thought Torres gave the ball away a lot at times and disrupted some counter attacking chances with his sloppiness. Happy for him to score though, hope he carries this on.I don't think he was good, that's a bit too much, he could've done a lot better, and scruffed a one on one chance. Koscielny may of knocked him but it's not enough, i wouldn't say that's unlucky.I know for a fact had he not scored today people would've been really on his back, then there would be much more activity in the Falcao thread. We've seen it all before.
Ryan Fong 2,776
Still poor... loses the ball so many times...I can't take you Torres haters serious any more after reading this ridiculous rubbish comment. Keep hating him whatever you want, I'm just proud of myself to support him through thick and thin. xPetrCechx

Stats 7,142
Give him a break today. He done well, scored and earned the free kick for the winning goal. I can't fault him for today, he done well. Also had good physical contests with the Arsenal defenders, with him coming up on top quite a few occasions. Give him credit, most of us did not want him to even play today. That being said him scoring or playing well does not mean he is back to his best. Nice summary I think
Igi26 346
His finish for goal was world class, can't believe people are saying he didn't play well.
Django 83
No he wasn't, he kept ruining every play we had, constantly always giving the ball away. Leading the line?, been listening to way too much Jamie Redknapp mate.He wasn't very good at all, but go on and believe he's back as most deluded people do.People convinced so easily it's scary. You've gone beyond the level of caricature. Your posts don't even annoy me anymore, I find them funny. You'll never be happy. zolayes, The Rising Sun and Ryan Fong

Django 83
Whatever Torres lover, support him instead of the club I support all of our players. Like I did Wembley and like I did in Munich. You don't like Torres and you make that clear. He could score a hat-trick next game and you'd still criticize him. ja1 1,166
Torres was decent today. People going over the top because of the goal. He still ran down the channels rather than actually stay in the middle and some of his touches/decision making was terrible. Mind you if he carries on getting goals it'll be fine. manpe 10,861
Other than his goal and the fact he has scored twice in a row from uncharacteristic situations for him, the thing that I liked the most was his heading and hold up play. I don't know if our passes were more accurate, if Arsenal's defenders were just shit or he was better, but it was probably the only game where I felt playing it long wasn't an automatic loss of possession. jmarlow and TorontoChelsea
