Tomo 21,751
No way he would get 43 league goals in 29 appearances in the Premier League. NO fucking way mate. He has played 6 games against Arsenal or United since 2009 and scored 8 goals, even if you stick the four games against us in that period its 8 in 10 against three of the best English teams. if he can have such a high rate against that type of opposition, imagine what he would do to the QPR, Villa's and Sunderland's off this world. bluesman2610 1,417
And how many of those goals have been on English soil?im definately going to side with you on that one.. its easy for messi to be a beast in spain where defence is not a main factor teams just try to outscore each other... i find it hard to see him doing such here just look at ronaldo's stats in england and since his move to spain that should be the biggest indicator and ronaldo is built for the premier league
Santiago. 1,500
WTF!!!I've watched Messi since his debut as well as watch both the Premier League and La Liga regularly, Messi would not achieve those same goals as he would in the Premier League. Look at Ronaldo. He is a tremendous athlete, "Built for the Premier League". His highest goal talley when he was in england, was 42. Now, In Spain, its like 60 + every season. IliyaDamyanov 43
the facts doesn't matter now !!!!!! If he continue to score till the end of the season and we won FA cup and Europa league and finish in top 3 and he helped for that he has a place in the team . His goal against Barcelona and the corner he won for the Drogba goal are very very important

Tomo 21,751
First half season 17 game goal drought.First full season 24 game goal drought. This season 2 months with one goal against a league one side. How their is still excuses running i will never know, he isn't back and he never will be. He might have burst's off semi good form every now and again (like he is right now) but he won't ever be good enough again, period. Jase 43,479
2. Wrong on every level about Newcastle. They've been shit this season. They've also been shit this season with Ba. When Ba left, they were 15th or so. They've only managed to stay a float until January because of Ba. So by the time January came around, they were able to buy a bunch of Frenchies to save their season. They've done better since, but, technically, they can still get relegated. Easy to say that now on hindsight. IIRC, when we played them back in August, we were a tad cautious knowing full well the threat they can pose because of their success last season when discussing about the game etc.

Heisenberg 1,824
Only important goals I can pick from this list is Arsenal...and he only scored because of Koscielny and one of his brain farts. The United goal was completely cancelled out by his miss of the millennia that followed and I don't count the Barca goal for much, since we had pretty much won already. £50m and 175k+ a week to score against pub teams (and mainly at home)? I would've rather let Sturridge do that to be honest.# Season Date Year Competition Opponent Score Result Venue 1 2010-11 23 April 2011 Premier League West Ham United 2-0 3-0 Stamford Bridge (Relegated)2 2011-12 18 September 2011 Premier League Manchester United 1-3 1-3 Old Trafford (Missed opener)3 2011-12 24 September 2011 Premier League Swansea City 1-0 4-1 Stamford Bridge (Sent Off)4 2011-12 19 October 2011 UEFA Champions League Genk 2-0 5-0 Stamford Bridge (Belgian L)5 2011-12 19 October 2011 UEFA Champions League Genk 3-0 5-0 Stamford Bridge (Belgian L)6 2011-12 18 March 2012 FA Cup Leicester City 3-0 5-2 Stamford Bridge (Championship)7 2011-12 18 March 2012 FA Cup Leicester City 4-1 5-2 Stamford Bridge (Championship)8 2011-12 31 March 2012 Premier League Aston Villa 4-2 4-2 Villa Park (Near Relegation)9 2011-12 24 April 2012 UEFA Champions League Barcelona 2-2 2-2 Nou Camp (One on one with Valdes+no defence)10 2011-12 29 April 2012 Premier League Queens Park Rangers 3-0 6-1 Stamford Bridge (Near Relegation)11 2011-12 29 April 2012 Premier League Queens Park Rangers 4-0 6-1 Stamford Bridge (Near Relegation)12 2011-12 29 April 2012 Premier League Queens Park Rangers 5-0 6-1 Stamford Bridge (Near Relegation)13 2012-13 12 August 2012 Community Shield Manchester City 1-0 2-3 Villa Park (Friendly)14 2012-13 22 August 2012 Premier League Reading 3-2 4-2 Stamford Bridge (Near Relegation)15 2012-13 25 August 2012 Premier League Newcastle United 2-0 2-0 Stamford Bridge (Near Relegation)16 2012-13 25 September 2012 League Cup Wolverhampton Wanderers 5-0 6-0 Stamford Bridge (Championship)17 2012-13 29 September 2012 Premier League Arsenal 1-0 2-1 Emirates Stadium18 2012-13 06 October 2012 Premier League Norwich City 1-1 4-1 Stamford Bridge (2nd half of table)19 2012-13 07 November 2012 UEFA Champions League Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0 3-2 Stamford Bridge (Keeper mistake)20 2012-13 05 December 2012 UEFA Champions League Nordsjælland 2-0 6-1 Stamford Bridge (Danish L)21 2012-13 05 December 2012 UEFA Champions League Nordsjælland 4-1 6-1 Stamford Bridge (Danish L)22 2012-13 08 December 2012 Premier League Sunderland 1-0 3-1 Stadium of Light (Near Relegation)23 2012-13 08 December 2012 Premier League Sunderland 2-0 3-1 Stadium of Light (Near Relegation)24 2012-13 13 December 2012 FIFA Club World Cup Monterrey 2-0 3-1 Yokohama (Mexican L)25 2012-13 19 December 2012 League Cup Leeds United 5-1 5-1 Elland Road (Championship)26 2012-13 23 December 2012 Premier League Aston Villa 1-0 8-0 Stamford Bridge (Near Relegation)27 2012-13 27 January 2013 FA Cup Brentford 2-2 2-2 Griffin Park (League 1)28 2012-13 27 February 2013 FA Cup Middlesbrough 1-0 2-0 Riverside Stadium (Championship)29 2012-13 14 March 2013 UEFA Europa League Steaua Bucharest 3-1 3-1 Stamford Bridge (Romanian L)30 2012-13 4 April 2013 UEFA Europa League Rubin Kazan 1-0 3-1 Stamford Bridge (Russian L)31 2012-13 4 April 2013 UEFA Europa League Rubin Kazan 3-1 3-1 Stamford Bridge (Russian L)Edit: I've now made annotations in brackets for each team/game.
