🇪🇸 Fernando Torres

Hopeless, just absolutely hopeless. This is probably the easiest match left for him to score in the rest of the season and he fucked it up. ''Tried hard and worked hard'' again but that is not good enough.

If he starts on Tue our chance is as good as gone.

His frustration could almost be cut with a knife today..., as the game wore on, he was concentrating hard to make even simple decisions regarding whether to pass, or run or shoot.

I guess it was pity from Mourinho that allowed to stay for the full 90 mins for this match

i thought it was sadism.

i actually loved watching torres being so frustrated. it was not like he was not trying. it was a simple case of how out of his depth he was. jose wanted everyone to see that. i am happy torres dint disappoint. :)

There was one exchange late on when David Luiz looked to spring his colleague clear. The pair were not on the same wavelength, Luiz protested, Torres shrugged his shoulders.

I'm not disagreeing with it but what would actually posses any team to see anything in Torres? Surely there would be some adviser actually saying to the person buying him.."Do you fucking actually know what you are doing, or buying"

I think there are always enough managers/presidents who are looking at some star player and thinking "this guy was good and now he's bad because it's this Club's/coach's/fans' fault, and with me he'll be back to his old glory days!" Overconfidence, wishful thinking, prestige issues whatever, and because of that there are always enough "wtf were they thinking?!" transfer. Sure, Torres case is probably beyond everything we've seen in football in recent years but if someone is still willing to risk it - all the luck to them :)

I've pre-booked his flight and paid for me it myself, he just has to tell me where too.
