der Kaiser 77
The answer isEither Gerrard (England national) or Torress (Chelsea) is not good partner of Lampard. However, Gerrard and Torress run good partnership (Liverpool). His form have nothing with Gerrard or Lampard. In Liverpool he got ball, dribble 2 players and score. He can't do that in Chelsea. ANDRECHO and Pacquiao
Phil Driver 503
Nando would have a point about the team not being set up for him to score if he was not getting chances as a result of that , he is getting chances and some of them easy chances ,he needs to convert some of the chances that come his way as well as score goals out of nothing ,the hallmark of a top class striker. He must do better as time is running out for him to make his mark at Chelsea,he is the type of striker who should be judged on his goal record and that is poor for Chelsea. He is drinking in the last chance saloon.
Alan Partridge 1,124
Torres-Gerrard-Alonso It was a good partnership. He had youth on his side and was confident. He's lost his acceleration and finishing. His goal record wasn't very impressive at A Madrid. His first Liverpool season was great, second was good, third was poor. yuvala 2,167
Why would we build a team around him?If he can't even score the easy chances that he does get. Mouri_Matic

TrippingStep 336
Torres-Gerrard-Alonso It was a good partnership. He had youth on his side and was confident. He's lost his acceleration and finishing. His goal record wasn't very impressive at A Madrid. His first Liverpool season was great, second was good, third was poor.I've never been a fan of Torres. And while he was scoring a lot at Liverpool in big matches, against the teams that were sitting deep, he was already not that great at Liverpool.Add to that he lost his acceleration after his knee injury and he is average. BleedsBlue 1,549
Completely unfair to criticise him as very few chances were created. Our approach to the game was to get a draw and Torres pitched in by defending whenever he could. kellzfresh 7,229
I cant really blame him. He made a lot of runs at the near post and willian and hazard never passed to him. Not even one cross like arsenal did for giroud. Torres experienced what lukaku has experienced at everton this december in this arsenal match. Popular Post! CHOULO19 24,332 Posted December 24, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted December 24, 2013 I actually thought he was excellent. He kept the Arsenal back four busy by him self. Chased every lost cause. Showed good physicality and a lot of pace. And won first balls quite often. I'm happy with his performance. BlueLion. 21,491
Absolutely, considering we weren't really set up to attack, he did absolutely everything he could.
Tomo 21,751
I felt a better striker would have won us this match, Torres did lose the ball in key areas. He tried hard last night ill give him that, but he just isn't Chelsea quality. The Skipper and didi007
The Skipper 20,609
Decent performance but as Tomo said above an elite striker like Suarez or Aguero would've nicked the game for us. Tomo

dee25 1,044
Looks like I'm in the minority but I thought he was the worst player on the pitch. Every time the ball was played into his feet it resulted in a turnover. He caused 3 turnovers, made 18 passes and had a pass success rate of 67%. It's one thing for your striker not to be scoring goals consistently, but when they can't even hold the ball up and are constantly turning over possession each time they touch the ball, it makes it even more difficult to build attacks.
