Blue Armour 4,448
I hope he will start against Arsenal. He has to feel the support. I'm positive about him. If he feels the support and can score, he will keep on scoring. He didn't forget how to play football just something went wrong but now he can be the old Nando again thanks to José.What do you think? He needs rest. Rafa used to overwork him at Liverpool and that resulted in him sitting out a lot of matches from injury and fatigue. And if that injury he got when he started against Steua is any indication, I'd say he needs as much rest he can get between big games. Fulham Broadway 17,330
Superb yesterday, motm, though Neville gave it to Aguero.El Toro back to how he used to play against us. The little shimmy and shot that hit the bar, the leaving of Clichy in his contrail, and the bloodlust to seize upon Harts howler..either needs a drug test or Mourinhos pep talks are kicking in...good times Bosnian Blue
Special Juan 28,141
His pace to get away from Clichy was impressive, Clichy is no slouch.
CHOULO19 24,332
Once he beat Cliche with the first 3-4 yards, Gael was never going to catch him. His performance yesterday reminded me in so many ways of some of his best performances for Liverpool.

Still has to hit higher standards to be the player he was at Liverpool but honestly if he plays like this for the rest of the season fuck his Liverpool days, this sort of standard is good enough for me and good enough for the team. kellzfresh, Tomo and Barbara

It's just that there are a few incidents that reminded me of his Liverpool days, like the burst of explosive pace when a defender takes a wrong step like he did to Cliche in Schurrle's goal and the shot from the corner of the box was incredibly similar to his goal against Sunderland. Popular Post! Tomo 21,751 Posted October 28, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted October 28, 2013 If he can carry on this form, i think he will offer us something different than what he was in his Liverpool days.At Liverpool he was a pure number 9, play on the shoulder off the last defender type of forward, when he wasn't scoring he was a liability. Now for this season, if he can keep up atleast the form he is showing in recent weeks (which im still going to remain cautious about) he will offer a role as more of a team player, he won't score as many goals at the rate he did at Liverpool, but will offer more for the team overall, basically a lesser version of Eidur Gudjohnsen is probably the best we can hope to get out of him this season, which is a lot more than what we expected to get. The Happy One 18
I don't even care...Torres is back unless proved otherwiseI won't be waiting the other shoe to drop.I'd rather be disappointed in a few matches from now than keep expecting him to go back to the form of the last 2 years.in my head and heart Mi Niño Torres is back!!!!!I'm in no way forgiving and much less forgetting the last 2 years, but not ignoring the present either.I understand why you are being cautious but I also think The Special One worked his magic on Fernando. It feels like he's a different player, it's different from the short flashes he's showed since being here.I see a different player, not Pool player, not Chelsea player, just a new player. If I had to label I'd say this is Mourinho's Torres. Torres playing superb a game or two then shit for 30 games.I hope you are right but Im not one of those who go out and scream "TORRES IS BACK" or "OMFG TORRES" and whatnot. Why? Because why would I? For me there is no such thing as "torres is back". What I want and hope is that he will consistently be better than average and sometimes display what he has the last two games.Time will tell that, and I will wait for that. Not celebrating too early Tomo

Not celebrating too earlyit's just I feel keeping a negative energy about him (expecting the other shoe to drop) will bring negative thingsalso I'm The Happy One but being honest with you... I didn't see this Torres before.he has a look in his eyes that wasn't there before and I know it bc I reblog way too many Torres posts in my blog to see ithe seems determined, Jose admitted he was surprised, taken aback but how hard Torres workssomething changed and it's reflecting in the pitch I guess
Orhtej 1
I'm seeing a better Torres in the last few games he's played in. Seems to have regained a lot of confidence, and more importantly, pace since Mou returned. If he continues to perform at this level i'd be one happy man The_Flash
