Santiago. 1,500
Actually want him to stay now. His motivation and ability he showed last night and the past weeks have been incredible.
Jase 43,479
Erm, check out Guillem Balague's Twitter account here. Some interesting quotes from Torres.
Kieran. 6,317
Torres with some surprising comments. All taken from Guillem Ballague's twitter:"It’s contradictory because I feel like I’m at a peak moment in my career, with more desire and hunger than I’ve felt in a long time but I’ve had to spend the final on the bench. It was a huge disappointment when I saw the line-up, perhaps the biggest in my life. This season I have felt things that I never had before. I’ve felt like they treated me in a way that I didn’t expect...not in the way that was spoken of when they signed me. We’ve had a lot of talks and we’ll talk about my future because the role I’ve had this season is not for me, nor is it the one I expected to play when I came here. I’m not comfortable. I want them to tell me what is going to happen in the future. Football has been fair on us, on me.Now I do feel like football is worth it but I’ve been through a difficult time. The worst in my career. Don't want that again. There’s been many times when I’ve felt lost, I wasn’t sure what to do. I felt like I didn’t know where I belonged. I’m eternally grateful to my family who have been by my side and also for the support of the owners who have stuck by me. And especially to the fans, if it hadn’t been for them this season I would have given up. I need the club to tell me what is going to happen and what sort of role I will have within the team, what my duties are, what the club expects of me. And then judge whether it is worth it."Wow. Kostas 1,468
I wouldn't be surprised if those are from even before the FA Cup final.
zolayes 14,489
I used to like Balague but recently he has become a shit stirring twat
Pizy 18,907
If we do end up sending him out, it can't be to another prem side. He'd certainly be happy back at Atletico. A win/win for bothe clubs. They get a club hero back, and we get Falcao as our new featured front man.
bababoom 4,478
Torres always puts a downer on things.... Come on, CHEER UP. OReillyD36
Tortilla9 390
I'm waiting to read the entire Guiilem interview when he posts it because Guillem has his own agenda too. That said the timing.....for the love of God, why now?!
Marvin123 534
Looks like id Drog gets a contract i can see torres leaving
TacticalBlues 2,817
Thought I'd mention Sky sports spoke to Balague earlier. When he actually spoke about it, it didn't sound as bad as the quotes do. Bacika
Kostas 1,468
Apparently those are from after the final. Got to see the whole piece but his timing is horrible and if the rest of the text does not change the mood of the interview this is an enraging spit into the face of the club that has supported even when he did not deserve it.. Joker10 946
Was the interview in Spanish?
Nando 106
Let's wait to see the whole thing, but to me it doesn't seem dissrespectful in any way. He again talks about all the support he has received in the past year, and just adds how he's feeling. Honesty before everything.I think we all knew that he's not comfortable sitting on the bench, but I though that after the arrival of Robbie all the pain and struggle are forgotten. I don't know, let's see the whole interview and then judge...
HNKS 508
Disappointed in Torres if whats being said is true. We played him when most other teams wouldn't have, we cheered him when other teams wouldn't have. He needs to take a good hard look at himself. Cosmin 2,484
I think he was pretty happy last night and today aswell. I really do not believe that he said those words. Arief
communicate 2,703
I think it is the timing that is wrong, other than that if the quote is true, I am not surprised
HRiver 1,512
Is he trying to tell the club "let Drogba go"?
OneMoSalah 8,886
If he has said this, fuck him, Chelsea fans have stuck by him time and time again and after us winning the CL he complains. You know what lets cut our losses and get someone who isn't too fucking bothered about being on the bench once in a while and someone who can score 30 goals a season. Bacika 188
Interview took place after the game. The whole piece will show a guy happy/wounded. At the same time. Like most of us are often I guess....from Balague's twitter...so just wait
Sheva. 5,373
If he doesn't want to be here, then it's time to really pursue a deal for Falcao - which sends Torres the other way. Bosnian Blue and OneMoSalah
