Ukraine + Russia = the same

I should imagine the Shaktar win bonus may be wired over from a certain person....

I would be 100% confident that a phone call has already taken place, urging them to beat Juve...

So it's up to the lads to perform and put some fucking pride into the Lion, not bottle it with a Cat meow performance...

oh, you must know so much about it :)

------------Cech-----------

Azpi---Ivan---Luiz---Cole

------------Mikel-----------

--Ramires---------Oscar--

Mata-----Moses---Hazard

My god, that looks good!

The sooner Ramires is out of that pivot, the better. Even if that means switching to another formation, like the 4-3-3 you posted. He would excel in a 4-3-3 where he can gallop up and down the pitch all day long and let Oscar take over the initiating of attacks. And obviously, Moses up front sounds much better than Torres up front right now. It's worth a try. My only worry would be he may not have the composure to be a striker yet.

Also, if Roman wants to play a high pressing possession game, then 4-3-3 is best. Three strikers closing down the opposition defence is always better than Torres doing it alone.

Aparently JT and Lamps are back in training today :yay:

@CobhamLive: Rafa Benitez: ”JT will train on Monday so, hopefully, will be close. Frank [Lampard] will train on Monday as well.” #CFC

They are but may not return just yet.

Haha - I don't know that much - but I do know lots of Russian + Ukranian people - and lots of money has flowed between Russia + Ukraine after the collapse of the 'Soviet Union'... So lot's of old allegiances were formed by the 'Super Rich' in both countries (granted a lot of those are now falling apart as some people have wasted their money, whilst others have flourished) - but like I said - 99% sure that RA has been on the phone to his friends in Ukraine, reminding them that they should put in a performance... I would also expect 'cash' to be a part of this arrangement...

Especially as the favourite saying in both Russia + Ukraine is 'what good is a thank-you, I cannot spend it'.... :D

So - apologies for the 'generalisation' - but in this case - I'm convinced I'm right :P

Isn't ironic that the two guys who the team are trying to leave out in the hope someone takes charge, are the only two who can provide leadership?

We're one of the most fucked up clubs in WORLD football. Thats not me talking off the cuff either. Thats fact. Its a fucking circus

I don't think 'Leadership' will do much. JT wil help but if you think Lampard will drastically change things you are mistaken. That reasoning is merely a coping mechanism. Lampard played many times before and his 'Leadership' was not enough to cover for his declining abilities and athleticism.

I agree.

Most successful managers always consider personality when signing a player. But how long has it been at Chelsea since a manager has even been allowed to be in charge of transfers? Our board (or Emenalo) is great at spotting talent, analyzing ability and reading player statistics but seems to completely forget about how personalities affect a team. We've done brilliantly to sign a lot of young and promising talents over the past while, but none are leaders. The board may not want to sign players who are approaching their thirties anymore but there are players in their mid-twenties out there that are born leaders. One example that comes to mind is Mamadou Sakho, PSG's 22 year old centre-back and captain.

Let's face it, the likes of Oscar and Hazard are not leaders and more than likely never will be. Juan Mata has pretty much stepped up as our leader on the pitch this season with Lampard and Terry being out for the majority of the season so far. As a goalkeeper, Petr Cech can only do so much in terms of leadership. I can only hope we see Guardiola or Mourinho (or any good tactician with great man-management skills) in the dugout next season at Stamford Bridge. In football, man-management is just as important as being tactically astute and the board are fooling themselves if they think otherwise.
