Success depends on how we approach the games. If we go a goal up and sit back, like we have been doing, we will lose 2-1. If we go all out and play to the potential of the team, we will win 3-1. Robbie has to believe in his boys and remove the english type of play from there game. Let them play the football they are taught.

TACTICAL ANALYSIS FOR THE GAME

We need to work on our defensive positions.

Man for man marking in lots of situations

Bonucci Chelini brazagli

Isla. Pirlo. Asamoah

Vidal. Marchisio.

Giovinco quagriella

Sturridge

Mata. Moses

Oscar.

Ramires. Mikel

Cole. Cahill. Iva. Azpillcu

We should mark them from the front.

Sturridge should press the centerbacks. No torres, we can't afford to be losing possesion anytime we attack.

OSCAR should mark PIRLO

MIKEL on MARCHISIO

RAMIRES should face the faster VIDAL and man mark him. This is as important as pirlo himself.

AZPI needs to have the game of his life against ASAMOAH in their unfamiliar formation.

CAHILL and IVA should deal with GIOVINCO and QUAG

ISLA is not a big threat, so MATA can afford to stay higher cos cole can handle him.

I excluded HAZARD because he doesn't dribble lately and we need mata's passing with sturridge and moses is needed for some width.

A back 3 is weak for crosses, a clear example was against napoli last year. We crossed all day long and they couldn't handle it.

Our attacking play is not strong away from home this season, so we must make full use of our counter attacks. And when in possesion play through balls to the ever moving sturridg to get behind the defence. Torres was static the last time so the 3 center backs marked him out.

If we follow through with this we will avoid defeat.

Doesn't that also mean cech marking buffon?

RDM says he will drop Torres if he has to.

Torres has started 19 out of 20 games this season. The one game he didn't start? He was suspended after his red card. Torres will start tonight and he start every game unless he is injured or suspended. RDM is just chatting rubbish about dropping him and playing Sturridge.

The key to winning this game is in the middle so I don't mind RDM using defensively sound players on the wings. As much as pirlo is a good attacking threat he is also their weakness defensively in the middle and I hope oscar and mata can really take advantage of that as pirlo just plays infront of the back 3. If torres was any good he would be competent against a back three I hope sturridge does.

Just use the Inter match as the Blueprint. Sitting back isn't the key but rather dyamic energy and pressing high is. 4-3-3 is the perfect formation here. A midfield of Oscar, Mikel and Ramires has the most energy and defensive abilities so that should be penciled in as our starting midfield for this game.

One of Hazard and Mata should sit out this game and on current form and overall ability, influence and experience Mata should play. We need some level of defensive cover on the wing so Moses should start however I won't mind if Bertrand starts on the wing either.

We don't need to play all 3 Maestro's because we don't need to outplay Juventus and beat them. We only need to get a draw. So why take risks. Just make sure the ship is patched up and shut tight to lock Juventus out. That is first and foremost the goal. We need to play a bit like Old Chelsea and be very strong defensively.

There is no shame in that and it could be a great strength of ours. We need to be able to play 2 ways. However this time even with the defensive approach we have more creativity in the team which will help us be much more threatening up top, in the matches we choose to be cautious and defensive.

Massive pressure on both teams tonight.

If we lose and Donetsk win they will win group tonight leaving door well open for Juve in last game. If Juventus don't win tonight, they are out.

Would play Torres for an hour (because hes half expecting to be dropped) reverse psychology -then Sturridge after an hour.

Wheres King Kalou when you need him ???:cry:B)

Oh i see.

When you talk about history.

Do you mean your history of cheating and influencing the referees ?

To the other Juventus fans visiting this thread : sorry for this remark but he was asking for it with his "money don't replace history crap"

Latest rumours on twitter saying Sturridge is out with a hamstring injury he suffered in training yesterday. If it's true and we have to watch that useless blondie for the whole 90 minutes with not a single backup available I'm going to punch someone.

Got the info from following Alex so blame him if it turns out to be bullshit.

If it's true, I would play with Hazard or Moses as a striker... Both will be better than Torres...

Oscar - Mikel

Ramires - Mata - Bertrand

Moses/Hazard

Sure, I would prefer something like that as well but there's absolutely no way Di Matteo will agree. If Sturridge is out, Torres is certain to play and we can't even sub him off if he's shit once again because we don't have any other strikers.

Nothing confirmed yet so there's still hope Danny will be okay to start...

edit: Hold on a second, Neil Ashton of the Daily Mail just tweeted that Di Matteo is likely to play Hazard up front and Torres will be dopped. Please let this be true!

Hi from italy!

Guys, juventus NEVER fixed a match AND Never payed a refree.

There is currently a Trial in Italy, in the first grade the judgment said that the competitions weren't alterated and Juventus F.C. is claimed innocent.

Please, don't talk about this if you are not well-informed.

Mikel provides more of a defensive cover than Ramires.

Didnt Juventus get demoted to the second league a few seasons ago because of match fixing or something? Pathetic for a club of Juve's stature.
