Juventus v Chelsea

That's just nonsense. RDM is trying to give the impression that he has a choice. It's clear as day he has no control over Torres. People above him insist that he plays and he does what he's told.

Torres will start every game unless he is injured/suspended. RDM allowed himself to be dictated to at the start of the season, he can't man up now all of a sudden. It's too late.

that' line up doesn't have 1 good finisher in it. Hazard cant lead the line either. He can barely play the #10 role let alone the messi role.

loool that's because our only real finisher is injured. I can not make out a single lineup that has a finisher.

BTW all people going on about Liechtsteiner. Juve will rather play Isla, who is a similar threat offensively but weaker defensively. I amr ather shitting my pants knowing we will face a mid three of vidal pirlo marchisio even thouhg Lampard and Mikel managed to get the latter two extremely quiet in the last encounter.

Would go for

---------Cech-------

Azpi---Iva---Cahill-Cole

--------Mikel-Ramy------

Moses-----Oscar----Mata

--------------Studge--------

But i am kinda sure we'll see Torres, Luiz, hazard and probably Bertrand instead.

Should be a good game, I am nervous already. We screwed up drawing with the Danes and now it all comes down to this. We need an early goal, my heart says we will win but I think you guys will get a draw. This is what champions league is all about, these games. Hopefully it is a good one for us :D

The most important things for me = Not conceding early, as that will really put us up against it. And taking our chances. We have been creating a lot of chances lately, but can't seem to finish, no better time to change that than this game.

well i'd be damned if RDM doesnt bench or should i say "rest" Torres for this one. Studge needs to start this one and even though i missed the WBA game from what i've read and seen in some highlights he looked lively and hungry which Torres just simply put isn't.

Also we also should expect Bertrand to be placed on the wing for this one.our defense has been leaky and not keeping a clean sheet in what 8 games is not acceptable. RDM said we may have to resort for a while and go back to the basics which he thrived on which was a solid defense and countering. would not be surprised if i see

Ivan-Luzi--Cahill-cole?

rambo--mikel

hazard-mata-bertrand

Studge

Oscar has been really good in UCL play much to our benefit but to drop Mata for 2 straight games i just dont see that happening, but to a greater effect we'd need Mata's poise and experience in what will be a game of chess in midfield. knowing when to pass it back to Mikel or really hit them on the break will be key in what i expect a game of very few opportunities for us. some people may retort to the old "RDM has no balls" or some other popular phrase but in my eyes Defense wins championships, and offense wins games.

we've been playing with the trinity in midfield and its got progressively worse, either someone's not understanding their assignment or simply put the overall plan is crooked and needs some adjusting. if he plays with a defender on the wing to stop the bleeding im all for it, but we have to try something, anything really to sure up the back and at least give ourselves a chance of coming away with a point be it in UCL or EPL.

I'm normally against the defensive winger thing, but i wouldn't mind Bertrand starting on the left.

If we sit back and play defensively, I'm going to lose my shit.

This team is good enough to press high, push up and maintain the ball at anyone's home ground bar Barcelona, Bayern and maybe Madrid. Hit them high up the park and keep the ball pressed in their half. We are a top 10 team in terms of talent alone in the world, maybe better. Juventus might be a good team, but they aren't anywhere in our class. I have a lot of respect for what they can do, but its not close. We are the far better team, and we better show it.

I got a feeling tonight's gonna be a good good night :D

They're a great team with fabulous players but we are an outstanding team with world class players B) Scoring early goals will make it easier for us to take the lead. Hope it works :)

Good luck Blues. KTBFFH!!

Think Oscar has to start this one. His defensive work off the ball has proved to be valuable to us and if the first clash against Juventus was anything to go by, Oscar will likely mark Pirlo once again. I believe he is able to sustain his defensive or marking task on the opposition better and longer than either Mata or Hazard.

TACTICAL ANALYSIS FOR THE GAME

We need to work on our defensive positions.

Man for man marking in lots of situations

Bonucci Chelini brazagli

Isla. Pirlo. Asamoah

Vidal. Marchisio.

Giovinco quagriella

Sturridge

Mata. Moses

Oscar.

Ramires. Mikel

Cole. Cahill. Iva. Azpillcu

We should mark them from the front.

Sturridge should press the centerbacks. No torres, we can't afford to be losing possesion anytime we attack.

OSCAR should mark PIRLO

MIKEL on MARCHISIO

RAMIRES should face the faster VIDAL and man mark him. This is as important as pirlo himself.

AZPI needs to have the game of his life against ASAMOAH in their unfamiliar formation.

CAHILL and IVA should deal with GIOVINCO and QUAG

ISLA is not a big threat, so MATA can afford to stay higher cos cole can handle him.

I excluded HAZARD because he doesn't dribble lately and we need mata's passing with sturridge and moses is needed for some width.

A back 3 is weak for crosses, a clear example was against napoli last year. We crossed all day long and they couldn't handle it.

Our attacking play is not strong away from home this season, so we must make full use of our counter attacks. And when in possesion play through balls to the ever moving sturridg to get behind the defence. Torres was static the last time so the 3 center backs marked him out.

If we follow through with this we will avoid defeat.

Chelsea is a great team, but for his history and for his skill Juventus is better...money don't replace history...sorry

Yeah you have such a great history don't you? You match fixing disgraceful cheats...

Skill wise we also outdo you. Our best is better than your best. Its simple.
