The Big Drog 1,110
Sick of referees being bought by ferguson. this has gone on for too long now. It happened all through the 90s and is still going on.Ferguson criticizes referees that give decisions against his club. Most likely, these decisions happen in games Manchester United lose. The FA reacts to the criticism by not assigning said referees in future Manchester United games. Thus, the only referees assigned to United games are ones that Ferguson approves ofLast season, Manchester City romped to a 6-1 win at Old Trafford, inflicting on their rivals their biggest embarrassment under Ferguson. The referee on that day was Mark Clattenburg. He sent Johnny Evans off in the second half for a clear professional foul. There have been 39 Man United league games since that day. The number of times times Clattenburg has refereed them? Zero. Not a single one -until today. he did today obviously under strict instructions. The referees that have given decisions Ferguson deem to be incorrect against United, no longer referee their games -see Alan Wiley.Factor in the fact that Manchester Uniteds CEO is ON THE BOARD OF the English FA, Alex Ferguson is a knight of the realm with political connections that go a lot deeper than football (just read Allistair Campbell’s diaries )Not a peep out of Murdochs Sky empire because of the connectionsI honestly didn't know that Clattenburg hadn't refereed a Man Utd game since sending off Johhny Evans. Of course we all know about Martin Atkinson being on the Ferguson black list too. You've hit the nail on the head, he has such influence on officials. Give a decision against his team and you are black listed from Man Utd games so, like with Clattenburg today, when you get the chance of redemption in Ferguson's eyes you grab it with both hands. Naked Mole Rat 437
you cant be serious ,,,,he will share ALL manure games with howardNot sure Fergie would trust Clattenburg, yet. He made a huge mistake last season and has a lot to catch up with Webb, who has been very consistent for United, but I can see where you're coming from. Clattenburg definitely seems to have the right tools to make a good backup.

Nando 106
Even with 10 men we would have won. Embarrassing refereeing today. Embarrassing not only for United but for the EPL at all. I'm pissed to say this but Torres did dive or he's just a terrible terrible actor. You can go down every time someone touches you. It's time to bench him now for the best of the club. Nevermind, top of the league, we'll beat the crap out of them in 3 days!
DYC. 7,542
We were great once we finally woke up. Outplayed them even. I'm going to focus on that. Exciting times on the way for sure.

Milan 17,957
Gary Neville is becoming more and more popular Gary Neville criticises the officials after Manchester United beat ChelseaNeville told Sky Sports' Super Sunday: "We have seen different types of dives today. Even if Torres doesn't get clipped I think he is entitled to go down."He had Johnny Evans, 6ft 1in, coming towards him with an aggressive tackle, I think Torres may be thinking he has to get his leg out of the way and go down because Evans is going to do him."Referees are getting themselves in a mess on this because everyone is talking about diving. There are different types of diving."He may be able to stay on his feet there but you can't say that was a yellow card. That is not a yellow card."Asked if the decision inadvertently made up for failing to send off Torres in the first half, Neville responded: "Two wrongs don't make a right. I think that the referee got the first one wrong and he got the second one wrong."He got both wrong and it is not good for the referee either way. The first one could have been a red card and the second one was not a yellow.
HRiver 1,512
A disgrace. This will go down as one of the most undeserved wins in world football history. Manchester United, Alex Ferguson and their fans should be proud of this achievement.
TrippingStep 336
It's no surprise that Manchester United are always fighting for the title even with average teams. They have 95% of the decisions that can influence game for them. Offside goals, penalty for dives, players sent off like Torres, disallowed goals for imaginary offside. It's so obvious that Howard Webb is labeled their twelve player. Stingray 9,441
LOL just don't understand you guys still criticizing Torres , Did he got any service today ? infact Mata should have scored when torres played that through ball , if Torres would have missed that Golden chance , you guys would have started abusing him . Uhm. Drugs are ok I suppose. LSD might actually be fun when watching Torres play - also like today. It makes you write a sorts of fluffy posts on sucky strikers. Also: you do know the world is gonna end on 21 December don't you?Besides this cynical banter, Nando el Blando sucked. Objectively.
DYC. 7,542
And oh yeah, who said small, technical players don't have mental strength and know how to perform when the going gets tough? Hazard, Mata and Oscar really went at it and never gave up.

DaveW 5
Never thought I'd actually get round to post on this forum, but this game has compelled me to make one point:Our fans were absolutely fantastic at the end. I was worried to see scenes like with spurs fans against us, leaving early and looking miserable. But instead I still hear us singing all the way. We know what we are!! It was amazing to see. :blue scalf:Also from what I saw from my poor stream, Ramires looked like he had a very good game - a little surprised more haven't voted him for MotM. TorontoChelsea 4,064
The 3 best players out of all 22 were hazard mata and oscar. Still pissed off, but extremely proud of the support we had and our lads. Danny sturridge deserves to start now and i felt so bad for him. Twice he had to sit down due to sendings off...United have found the best way to deal with Hazard mata and oscar. Get them subbed off... So disgraceful. He should come out and apologise for the poor decisions... He won't but seriously WTF.Those three were very poor in the first 30 minutes. They didn't defend well, they gave up the ball easily, etc...Mata had the beautiful FK goal and the gorgeous touch that help set up the Ramires goal. Hazard looked dangerous a few times but didn't really create much and had a bad 73% passing percentage, was dispossessed 2 times and had 4 turnovers and Oscar despite getting his first Premier League assist on a gorgeous cross (congrats to him) was pretty poor. 81% passing, 4 turnovers, and 3 times dispossessed, The front 4 attacked very well in the 30-60 minute mark though.
