Absolutely vital that we avoid defeat here. Must aim to gain at least 4 points from the two matches against Shakhtar. If we do that, then we are likely to be on level points(8) with Juventus after Matchday 4 as one would assume them to beat Nordsjaelland home and away to get that 6 points.

And just to add, Shakhtar are unbeaten in their last 33 matches(W31 D2) in all competitions. Last time they lost was back in November, where Porto won 2-0 in Ukraine and ultimately knocked Shakhtar out of the Champions League last season.

As BluesMaster said, we should aim to get at least 4 points from both Shakhtar games. We need a strong side but a couple of changes should be made to keep the team fresh for Utd. We need to put in a very good defensive shift above all and if we can knick a goal then great.

Even with the Man Utd game coming up it would be childish to think that we wont play our strongest possible side in this game, Away to Shakhtar is not a joke, it's a very serious test and our position in the group at the moment isn't perfect.
