Cech

Ivan Cahill Terry Cole

Romeu Lampard

Ramires Mata Hazard

Torres

Subs: Lampard-Oscar, Ramires-Danny, Mata-Essien

We really need a winger moses or Hulk and marin fit!

Think Mata should sit this one out.

Cech

Ivanovic Luiz Terry Bertrand

Lampard Romeu Oscar

Hazard* Sturridge Malouda

*Free role from the right, Malouda providing width. Not gonna happen but im allowed to dream.

Think this is the perfect opportunity to start with Oscar, playing at home and all. Especially if the coach isn't planning on starting him against Newcastle. He needs to establish a understanding with the team quickly.

Rest Mata, didn't look good against City and Wigan. And looking at the upcoming games, I think this is a good opportunity to give Danny a chance up front.

Wouldn't mind seeing

Obv back 5

Mikel/Romeu Lampard

Ramires (Not really who i want there but is likely to play there) Oscar Hazard

Torres

Assuming we are resting mata, though if he feels alright then we may as well play him in the next 2 games then he can rest for 3 weeks after that.

Rotate? Season literally has just started, they can handle a few games on the trot. These are fighting fit guys who are well looked after they can take it. Rotate later in the season.

Look at the performances of the top 6/7, it's not a coincidence no one looked really good. It's because a lot of didn't get proper rest. This is a good opportunity to make use of some of the squad players, with the Newcastle game in mind.

Invalid reason. They failed to win at the weekend because they didn't take their chances or the opposition were just better than them, not because they didn't get enough rest or anything like that.

Well I expected the top teams not to perform really well. The busy summer and the top teams of the PL being filled with internationals, it makes sense to me. If you refuse to believe that's the reason, that's up to you.

No. The season is a marathon, not a sprint. The idea is to rest your players early so they don't ever get tried in the first place, and then throughout the season so they can continue to stay fresh. Waiting until they actually get fatigued to give them rest is just dumb.
