yup. he clearly had no right going for the ball. fine for chelsea and 10 points deduction seems fair.

Concussions are a serious thing and if there was the slightest sign of a concussion he should have been taken off immediately. Don't be so naive.

???

i honestly think u got me wrong. i was trying to ridicule the decision of not giving a penalty.

was not sure abut a concussion. if its a concussion then he should defo come out. but DD was not the option. would have to change our whole style.

My mistake.

When i saw it looked like he could be concussed, i was shocked it wasn't a penalty. All that aside, wtf was Eva doing? Not her job, obviously.

I just saw this and I haven't seen it posted yet. Absolutely sickening he was allowed to carry on after that. Concussions should be treated with the utmost scrutiny but for some reason in football, it isn't.

You could clearly see that collision knocked Oscar sideways!

He was making weird shapes with his hands!

I was generally concered for the lad and was abit shocked when he carried on!

I hope he recovers fully a.s.a.p!

When assessing Oscar's performance in this game, we can obviously only take into account the minutes leading up to the Ospina incident, because he was evidently struggling following that. With that in mind, he had another good game. For me it's his third consecutive good contribution in a row after his performances at QPR and against Man U, which is obviously what we are looking for from him - consistency. Hopefully this incident doesn't stall that for the remainder of the season.

IIRC, the recent media reports about Oscar being sold at the end of this season were at their height in the days leading up to the QPR game, so therefore these last three performances must be classed as a good response to a bit of pressure from Oscar. Similar to what we saw with Willian when people were questioning his position in the side after the purchase of Cuadrado.

In terms of the aforementioned incident itself, I have a lot of experience with concussions - I know one when I see one - and that was most certainly a concussion and Oscar shouldn't have been allowed to continue playing, simple.

He has left the hospital, but I would be surprised if we see him against Leicester, and he may even struggle to get up for Palace. Wishing him all the best though.

It was disgusting how he can continue after, disappointed in the medical department

Really hope Oscar recovers

finally finds some good form and then ospina clatters him like that. hope oscar makes a full recovery. some players come back from concussion and are never the same.

That mostly applies to hockey, American football and other sports with constant physical contact to the head, though.
