Popular Post! Miguelito 459 Posted July 30, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted July 30, 2012 it often seems like the most intelligent players are lazy, but they arentthey know when to move and when to not. they know how to get in good positions. they know when to conserve their energy. theres no need for players to run around like crazy the entire game, its a waste. to alot of people pirlo seems lazy, but he is quite the opposite. he is the most intelligent player in the world at the moment for me and does all the things that go unnoticed. to a lesser extent mikel can be an example, i know he normally just sits back and stays there, but he is pretty good at positioning himself either getting open for a simple pass or trying to stop atleast one lane of an oppositions attack. one of my "friends" who is a tottenham fan complains that modric needs someone like scott parker or sandro beside him to work hard because he doesnt work hard enough, but anyone who really watches him and focuses on what he does knows that he is constantly moving when he needs too. xabi alonso is an example i will use. he doesnt look like he moves too much but for me he is the best in the world at what he does. he is always either available for a pass or moving around to get someone else open for a pass. defensively he also cuts off passing lanes as good as anyone. lampard is one that has gained intelligence and been alot smarter about his positioning and when to make his trademark runs forward and when to hold back and conserve. my family says he has gotten lazy now that he is older but he is smarter.for me oscars biggest asset is his intelligence. yes he has the techncal abilities and amazing passing range but he knows how move around the field and get open and become available for passes better than anyone his age. this is what separates him from other players. for him to have this a his age is incredible, and its something that stays with you your entire career.this is why i think some people think he can develop into a deep lying playmaker, because his intelligence is very similar to xabi alonso and pirlo and modric. . i think he has better technical abilities, and therefore, play higher up the field, but he will be an asset wherever he plays. he realizes when to take a chance and make brilliant pass forward and when to make a simple pass to create little openings in teams or just keep possesion. maybe he can start higher up the field and later in his career when his physical abilities start to fade he can convert to deeper and use his superior intelligence to make a massive contribution.and if you truly watch him and focus on him during the course of a game, you realize that he is constantly on the move either making himself available (which he is so good at, most every attack somehow went through at some point) or he is moving and opening up lanes for other people (something people fail to realize how important this is in the game). he smart enough to realize when he can take breaks and just sit in a certain positions blocking off certain passing lanes for the opposition. so yes to some he might seem lazy but to me he is the most intelligent player on the field. CHOULO19 24,332
Sorry,I was just lazy to write something more seriously.Oscar is constantly tracking back, filling the flanks and the empty spaces whenever the team is defending. It just doesnt look like he works hard enough because he doesnt go running towards the ball like a headless chicken a la Di Maria/RiberyIt's okay. I apologize if I came across as rude.I've noticed this a few times that when his team is not in possession, Oscar seems to be walking casually around or stand in his place. I've seen him do the same for Inter as well. In last night's match, for example, he was only once in his teams third of the pitch (set pieces not included). That's not enough, even for a #10 here in the PL. Besides, that's only one reason why I don't think he will go straight into the starting XI. First, like all players coming from the Brazilian league, he will need time to adapt to the PL which is much more physical and end-to-end. Ramires, for example, even though he played in Portugal for a year, he still needed a few month to get used to the PL. Moreover, he still needs a lot of experience for his positioning and decision making to be starting for us. The only was I see him becoming a starter is if we fail to sign another winger and RDM decides to play him on the right wing. I realize I'm swing against the tide here since it is almost natural that we hype every young signing, so as I said I will wait for him to join the squad and for the season to start. But I'm just saying that we need to look at the matter a bit more realistically. royg

Marin has looked good on the left and could slot in there if oscar isn't ready, but i am starting to think the Hulk thing won't happen and Oscar will play at CAM with Mata and Hazard either side of him... But we all will just have to wait and see..
AndersonBLUE 819
I think he will start as a sub for most matches. And increase his minutes from there. I hope our staff know what they are doing with all this talented youth.

Popular Post! TorontoChelsea 4,064 Posted July 30, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted July 30, 2012 I hope your joking, for Oscar's age he is one of the best young attacking midfielders in the PL already. There is no 20 year old better than him that I can think of..... not even Jack "deletes twitter because hes apparently failed a drug test" Wilshere. He will rip the league up.This is exactly the nonsense I was talking about. Oscar is one of the best young attacking midfielders in the PL based on what? He hasn't played a single Premier League game. He hasn't played a single game in Europe. You're saying he is one of the best young players in the world based on looking good in a few friendlies and against under-23 sides of poor footballing countries. He is immensely talented and nobody will argue that, and he may even come to Chelsea and have immediate success, but the expectations like the one above are just silly. Let him come to Chelsea and develop and see what kind of player he turns out to be without these ridiculous expectations for immediate super-stardom. . Henrique 9,133
I remember some guys in Oscar transfer topic saying Spain was better than Brazil and would win the gold. Where are you people?Spain right now have a good generation of superb players, like Iniesta and Xavi. When both players retire, it would be very difficult to see Spain winning anything. OneMoSalah 8,886
Only Senegal can stop Brazil. That is because they just nail everyone that runs past them! Its like they have a whole team of Charlie Adams, bad at everything apart from hurting their opponents. In fact thats harsh on Senegal, they don't have any players as bad as Charlie Adam Henrique

There are so many talented young Spanish players, all schooled in tiki taka(particularly at Barcelona) one poor Olympic tournament doesn't mean Spain are gone.
