YouNameIt 1,511
What truley makes me angry is that the reason he is no longer a part of Chelsea, has to do with Torres. Yeboii
Bacika 188
Shutup. There is an ex-blue thread for a reason. If you don't like him, that is you, don't understand why personally why but he deserves recognition when he does well, especially as he was not given a chance to prove himself here. For me he is better than Torres, and it was mistake letting him go...but I won't cry for him after every goal he scores... It was stupid form our board but I don't care about him anymore....
HNKS 508
Glad he left. Not that we have much better upfront at the moment but he was far too inconsistent for my liking. Fortunately we have Torres who is very consistent at being complete shit.

The Skipper 20,609
Decision making. Well maybe that had to do with the fact that he only started twice for us this season and then came off the bench with only 5/10 minutes to go? He wasn't given enough minutes for you to call his decision making inconsistent. His decision making at Liverpool isn't inconsistent at all right now and that's simply due to the fact that they've given him a run in. I still dont think he will ever be world class. Thats what Chelsea needs right now, a world class striker.
The Skipper 20,609
That much is true. I still dont think he will ever be world class. Thats what Chelsea needs right now, a world class striker. This was the argument that really annoyed me the most - people were happy to see Sturridge go because supposedly he'll never be world class (which is easy to say, as a lot of people wrote him and even Lukaku off based on a couple of minutes). No one knows whether he'll be world class or not. Sturridge would have been infinitely better for us upfront this season if he played the minutes Torres played for us this season, I'm very sure of that. We didn't have a world class striker at the start of the season but that doesn't justify us not playing Sturridge or making the decision to sell Sturridge okay.We would've been higher up the table and probably would've won a cup or two by now too in my opinion if we played him instead of Fernando. He's proving that at Liverpool - in his 11 games there he's scored 7 already which include goal and assists against the likes of United, us and City; he's already scored more goals against big teams than Torres has for us. Will he be world class? We don't know, it's easier to be pessimistic about it though as it's hard to predict such in football. What I do know though is that Sturridge will be a very good striker if he'll continue to play minutes in his preferred position, something we failed to do. Las7 951
http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/15183-everton-v-chelsea/?p=573377Turned out to be 100% correct - outscored Ba and Torres combined with ease despite playing less minutes than both, brilliant transfer by our board. Other than Robben the only player we have made a profit on during Roman's reign ja1
FabHazard 655
liverpool's system of play is system of play is different from chelsea's.....here our strikers dont get service....the fact that we are getting goals from defenders like cahill and attacking midfielders tells so much about our style of play

Pizy 18,908
The exact thing I predicted would happen the day he was sold. He'll probably be a 20 goal per season striker there. Should still be a Chelsea player. Las7 and mediator
Stats 7,142
Covers face in palm. Hatrick. Don't care if people keep saying move on. Excellent striker and we are going to have to regret it. Better than Ba and Torres for sure. WOW, he could have done that for us if given the opportunity. Mufassir08 and Las7

Jase 43,479
Wait till we actually get a proper ST who scores goals for us. Then people will not be moaning about letting Sturridge go every time he scores for Liverpool... GermanBlue 82
I wonder how many people who are praising Sturridge right now, did that the same way in the first half of the season. We still got 15mio for him also btw.
