Amblève. 4,995
As soon as he's fit he'll take over from Torres. Unlike the Spaniard Danny knows what a striker is supposed to do.
YouNameIt 1,511
Seriousley, Chelsea better give Danny enough playtime and chances. They are fucking 1) ruining his career and wasting his talent 2) making things worse for Chelsea by having this false hope that Torres will turn into a goal-scoring-God. Rambo 1,729
Seriousley, Chelsea better give Danny enough playtime and chances. They are fucking 1) ruining his career and wasting his talent 2) making things worse for Chelsea by having this false hope that Torres will turn into a goal-scoring-God.It's egregious if you also add to the fact that Danny has proven his worth when given the opportunities and worked so hard to be where he's at now. He's excelled at Bolton and had a stellar start to the season last year. Sure he may be a defensive liability but he works a lot harder than Torres does to get the ball back, and I think his style of play would work better with Hazard and Mata. He's waited long enough to play the CF role and I'll be disappointed if Robbie doesn't start him soon. There are some politics involved with the board surrounding Torres being handed the starting job and I think that's the reason why RDM is holding back for now.The board needs to assess this properly and consider the Torres purchase as a failure. It was clearly a panic move made by Roman and it is evident that the previous injury Torres suffered took a lot out of him. I have total respect for Fernando as he is a class act with his head at the right place, but let's all move on from this to give Sturridge the time to develop into a world-class player. Rubber bullets 1,183
I wonder what the actual relationship has been every since RDM became assistant manager (and then subsequently as full time manager)? He does not seem to have a lot of faith in him as he was dropped as soon as RDM took over and hardly starts, even on the wings. Not happy with his attitude in training or how he conducts himself? BOSS 372
LOL howmany goals has Danny scored as a winger? And he still warms the bench for Torres.
Las7 951
Since 2010 Sturridge has 20 goals from 66 games in the Premier League during the same time Torres has had 18 goals in 73 games. Last year these are the games each one scored in:Torres goals are against:QPR x 3(PREM); Barcelona(UCL); Aston Villa(PREM); Leicester x 2(FAC); Genk x 2(UCL); Swansea(PREM); MU(PREM);Sturridge goals are against:QPR(PREM); Aston Villa(PREM); B'ham(FA); Tottenham(PREM); Wigan(PREM); Newcastle(PREM); Wolves(PREM); Liverpool(PREM); Everton(CC); Everton(PREM); Bolton x 2(PREM); Sunderland(PREM)Those are the facts other than the "winner" against Barca, pretty much Torres is only scoring games in which we either loose or are comfortable winners. This season Torres has been better in terms of end product - but that's considering he is pretty much playing 90 minutes every single game. Duppy Conqueror 1,537
it`s a mystery for me too but it may be nothing sinister and Roberto just wanting to go easy on him..he hasn`t been at full strength for a few months as far as i can see..yes he`s played some decent games for England but lil cameos against international teams whom with all due respect to them if they were club sides with the exact same players they wouldn`t be a premiership side.it seems like you either get branded a player lover or a player hater.but for me i`d rather stay out of all that and say..he has great potential,he is a good young player,he is improving,...i`m not gonna make any predictions on how good he can be,it`s upto him really..i have been more impressed with his right foot in recent times..it was unbelievable to me how so badly one footed he was and despite Man City having what from the outside looks a pretty good youth set up,they have failed him by not being able to help him work on that right foot more at an earlier age.hopefully he will be 100% fit and healthy sometime soon and he can work himself into more playing minutes zolayes and Rubber bullets

nadavTKL 1,787
Simple questions for you guys:1. Is he better than Torres?2. Is he good enough to be a starting striker for us?I know we havent seen enough of him as a striker, but your thoughts... I think its a healthier topic than Falcao/Cavani.... as they wont come in january. we need to know that.

Blue Armour 4,442
I'm pretty sure he will get his chance once he's fit. For now I can say I'm at least happy, if not satisfied, with Torres' performance this season. The only thing that bothers me is Danny's contract situation. Hopefully it will get sorted out before the end of the season. TorontoChelsea

Jase 43,479
http://www.dailymail...-15million.htmlAnother day, another one of our players is in the transfer story. Hardly a new news if we believe he wants to leave given that these stories/rumours have been going on for awhile now.
