Popular Post! BlueJewel 56 Posted August 25, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted August 25, 2012 I don't think he has a bad attitude, he's quite humble in the interviews of him I've listened to. His problem is that a lot often he tries to prove how good he is and why he deserves to start, in so doing he sometimes makes the wrong choice. He should be cut some slack though, he has only been playing top level football for only a year and a half now, he is still learning. Chelsea would be making a big mistake if they let Sturridge go, I can see him developing into a world class CF or RW and a full England international in a couple of years. Slam Dunk 1,442
Just read that Liverpool have bid £15m for Sturridge. Hope is doesn't happen. They're interested, no doubt. But they still have Carroll on their books and we have no replacement should he leave. Seems unlikely at the moment.
Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
We surely cant have him leave for free next summer though....Him playing no part today sure didnt do anything to silence the rumour mill.
nyikolajevics 2,698
We can't let him go. Maybe he will never be a world-class player, but we need him. Torres can't play 60 games this year. Selling Danny for 15 million pounds and buying Taison for 10 million would be the biggest dissapointment since we let Joe Cole leave us. nyikolajevics 2,698
WTF you guy seriously think we would sell Danny? I think we don't want to sell him, but he might be unhappy. He has only played a few minutes in this season so far. And if he wants to leave, we can't force him to stay.
Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
WTF you guy seriously think we would sell Danny? We have to if he doesnt sign a new contract. He is worth too much to just let walk away.
Jose M 140
All squads are trying to keep as many English players as possible because of the new rules. Its really in Danny's hands, if he's not willing to play and fight for his position then maybe he should go. RDM clearly said a few weeks ago that Sturridge was in his plans! Kinol 337
If we aint going to let him play any time soon then i hope he. Thats the best for him. I cant see him going from being almost a starter last season to a bench warmer. I was dissapointed that he didnt get to play some minutes today. nachikethas
Chelsea? 892
Woulda loved to see him start in the super cup but I guess FT9 has to play against his old team.

Chelsea would be making a big mistake if they let Sturridge go, I can see him developing into a world class CF or RW and a full England international in a couple of years.I had the same impression of him. He seems like a very sensible guy unlike how the media like to portray him, but they like to stereotype people, it's almost as if it's part of their job. Anyway, I agree with your other points as well. He's definitely a great talent, but the club and the player himself need to be patient if he is to succeed. I hope he's not too disappointed with how he hasn't started a match for us yet because I'm sure his time will come soon. To me, it was obvious that di Matteo would start Torres for the first few games of the season because he wanted to establish Torres as our main striker, but that doesn't mean Sturridge is being ignored or anything like that. Blue Armour 4,439
Its odd that he didn't get even a single minute today. He could've come on for Ryan during the last few mins.
