Rafa Benitez claimed Chelsea will appeal if the FA's independent regulatory commission increases Eden Hazard's suspension.

The £32m Chelsea winger has until 6pm on Tuesday to respond to an FA charge after he kicked a ball-boy during the Capital One Cup semi-final at Swansea on Wednesday.

Hazard is already serving a three match ban, which started in today's FA Cup tie at Brentford, but the FA want the punishment increased.

Benitez said: 'Three games is enough. We have lost a player for three games, but to lose him for any more would be wrong.

'If there is an additional punishment we won't accept it because we believe three games is already enough.'

They also failed to charge Rio Ferdinand when he kicked one of our stewards a few years ago.

More recently the FA could've handed Robin Van Persie a ban when he elbowed Yohann Cabaye in the face.

And Robert Huth got away with stamping on Luis Suarez despite the fact that the referee was only a few yards away from the incident.

A child? he was 17 fucking years old, Hazard is 22. When i was 17 i had mates who were 22 ffs.
