KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
The Telegraph says: It is understood that they made a breakthrough in negotiations on Friday that could lead to Chelsea signing the highly-rated Belgian forward in a 35 million euro (£28.3 million) deal from Lille. Both Manchester City and Manchester United are interested in signing the player but have been put off by the exorbitant demands being made by Hazard’s representatives.Well-placed sources have revealed that he is asking for wages of £4.6million net, which means an annual outlay of about £9 million for a club. That is a weekly salary of roughly £170,000.While Hazard is one of the most talented young players in Europe, both City and United are unwilling to pay such a huge salary for a 21 year-old who has only played in the French league. While City could afford it, they no longer feel they are in the position of needing to offer disproportionately large contracts to persuade players to sign.£28.3 million ( at £170,000 overpriced, I know) would be a very good deal. Hopefully we offer him lower wages than that though, but like i Said before, even if he is on high wages I'm sure none of you would complain. Bring him in! jjd06e 37
If we get Hazard, with Hazard and Mata on the Wings, I think whoever is playing striker for Chelsea next year is going to love all the chances he will be getting.

jjd06e 37
Like I said in the Falcao thread, Mata should not and will not be playing on the wings.I agree with now I think about it. Ramires and Hazard can play out wide with Mata in middle, probably would work better that way.
RamiCFC9 258
NOW WHEN WE ARE CL HOLDERS THINGS WILL ONLY GET BETTER AND BETTER FOR THE CLUB AND FOR US.

BlueLyon 9,359
Well he is fantastic, but those 250,000 are just too much. Its not my money, but just comparing to some of legends like Drogba or Lamps...BUT: Mata didnt played that well in CL stages against Barca or Bayern (decent, but he was not pusher). I expect same from Hazard, he is small and unexperienced. It would be magic if Hulk and Hazard arrive.

IMHO, no more than 100,000 is suitable although it may seem be harsh to the player. Otherwise, I'd rather like to see Chelsea signing another potential young like Marin and de bruyne. BlueLyon 9,359
I would like to see him here anyway, despite those salaries, we will have to wait and see his decision.
Leif 6,006
Sorry for being a party pooper, but I don't really believe we are actually in the race to sign him anymore. It's probably just infamous newspaper rubbish, and since we've just won the Champions League ( :D :D), it's a good time for them to capitalize on all the Hazard "I'll be wearing blue" comments.I personally don't even know if I want him here. He's outrageously talented, but his ego is one of the worst I've ever seen, and his wage demands would just be far too much.Mata is on 60k. Hazard wants 250k. Just..wow.
ChelseaFanUK 1,014
How could we have had talks with his agent yesterday like the reports say? Everyone connected to our club was in Munich. Unless Emenalo stayed behind I struggle to see any truth in this

cujo101 75
Just got this tweet from Chelsea rumours: Hazard will announce his next destination after Lille's game tonight. Most likely Manchester City, but you never know.
TacticalBlues 2,817
All eyes glued on Lille game tonight. He'll end the suspense by announcing it after they give him a send off. Word is Man United, Man City and Chelsea have all agreed fees. The Decision is his. If City haven't already secured his services, after yesterday night and all it meant, I'm getting good feelings. I mean he saw us resort to playing Bertrand on the wings, bring on Malouda and start with Kalou.

Jase 43,479
IF and I mean IF he does decide to join us, it would really make my entire summer.Money is probably still on him joining City but still keeping that tiny bit of hope.
BlueLyon 9,359
The only doubt I have about him signing for us is that he told he is going to Manchester. Possible deal has already been made and he just waits to anounce it official after last Lille game. But in case he is still decideing , we have chances.
