He put in a slightly better performance than he has most of this year again but still I am struggling to see if he is actually interested in playing for Chelsea. He just looks disinterested a lot. I think hes off in the summer.

Can't deny his quality but watching how he has played in the last couple of weeks, if not months, I'm almost tempted to say good riddance when the Real Madrid move happens.

He should be more direct in attacking...Dribbling no where is not going to help.. I think he has regressed in terms of goal scoring and it is not helping us......Still we should keep him as long as he wants to stay here....Selling our world class players is not going to help us like we have seen in the past

I suppose we can apply that to every other player. Hazard is supposed to be our best player and yet, he's been outshone by Kante, who's not as talented as him, in almost every aspect in all the recent big games.

I don't think he's played well since the Manchester City humiliation. How our manager humiliated him in that game. Anyway let's not get it twisted. Eden has helped us quite a lot in big games over his Chelsea career. He's in my view the best big game player we've ever had besides Didier. 

Just last season Eden scored in virtually almost every big game he played in. He can't be the Messiah every time particularly when his club isn't given him the tools to work with.

We've all been screaming for our board to pair him with another top class attacking midfielder for years but to no avail. In truth Mata and probably Fabregas are the only players who've ever looked closed to his level on the ball and he's been able to interact with effortlessly on the pitch. We're just too fucking shit this season for even Hazard

It's strange that whenever people criticize Hazard for his poor form or performance, the Eden Hazard FC fans will suddenly appear and spin the narrative to how fans should be grateful for having him or that things aren't his fault at all and it's always someone else's. What's going to suck even more than watching him leave is watching him go to a club that is loaded with other top quality players on his level and dominating. I have a feeling that we'll be seeing a lot of people saying "this is the real Hazard" once he's at a club like Real Madrid. We're going to see what we could've had ourselves if we showed any ambition at all as a club and surrounded him with quality rather than mediocrity.

I don't see how we can replace him. It certainly won't be with just one player. Add to that its a World Cup summer so any player who does well will be out of reach for our cheap ass board.

It's time for him to go. I love the guy to bits but I actually do believe it's in everyones best interest if he leaves the club. Maybe then Roman will realise you can't just surround a World Class player with a bunch of pretenders and expect to dominate World football. I will say though, it fucking hurts that the bunch of clowns Roman has hired to do a job can fuck up such a golden opportunity wiyh having Eden here.

Hazard's 27 now and a player of his quality deserves to fight for the CL, and sadly we no longer have the conditions to provide that platform here. If Real Madrid come calling then he's gone and we can't blame him.

Deserves to fight for the CL? I can’t  think of one big match in the CL for us where he has looked to that level. People keep talking about the lack of players of his ability over the years but if the last 4 months and that disastrous season under Jose and Guus has taught me anything it is that when the team underperforms over the basis of a season he is usually the first player to hide and shirk responsibility.

People have said for years under various managers we needed to do stuff to help him or accommodate his talent and maximise it, yes Jose had him running back to help defend but then Conte came in freed him up and played him in a more freer role where he excelled, then it was oh he should play him off the striker in a 352 which he did and he did okay, then when we hit a rough patch he just dropped off the face of the earth performance wise. Time to stop making huge excuses like players, what position etc, we’ve had good enough players in attacking areas when he’s been here or we wouldn’t have managed to win the league twice. Most world class players don’t have a full shite season a year after being a starring player when his team won the league. Now it’s not just been one season, it’s happened twice now. Somethings got to give. Can’t just take the huff with the coach every 2 seasons because he makes you chase defenders back or do more physically demanding training.

Just this season alone Hazard played against Atletico Madrid and was arguably the best player in both legs. The agenda you and Jason have against Hazard is actually sad to read. This guy is a legend at the club but at the first moment of drop off or bad for you come out of the woodworks to rubbish him. You're in particular even more shameful than Jason because Jason can at least have some objectivity sometimes. You just post on Hazard's thread for attention and to get a reaction. That' pathetic. Maybe you should go support Salah and Liverpool with your username instead of constantly trashing a legend. A more strict forum like Redcafe or RAWK would have had your arse banned a long time ago.

I am just giving a fair point, 2 seasons where he has been our best player has been followed by 2 extremely poor seasons but everyone has an excuse for him. The way people talk about Eden, “he is one of the top 5 in the world” after like what scoring 2 goals vs Brighton... one top performance against Atletico Madrid in Europe is pretty piss poor to back an argument up about him doing it for us in Europe. I post on this forum in this thread because in other threads over the years I’ve sat and watched various other players half as talented who have played nowhere near as average/bad as Eden in these last few months and that year under Guus have been absolutely slated time and time again. It’s actually pathetic that there seems to be more Eden Hazard fans than Chelsea fans on this forum. As a fan I am not happy that a world class player has been strolling about for 4 months doing fuck all while our season falls apart, along with a lot of our other players but for somebody who is heralded as a Chelsea legend and world class, he is definitely doing his best to show otherwise in the big games. Terry, Drogba, Lampard... these guys may not have had the talent Eden does but when shit went south they dug us out. People don’t expect the same from Eden? A world class player? Why wouldn’t you not expect that? Or is there an excuse for that? Bad players maybe? He was excellent playing with Pedro, Willian and Costa last season and then the year we won the league under Jose.

I am hugely grateful for what Hazard has done at Chelsea and if he came out and said he was signing a new contract and wanted to stay with Chelsea for his best years, I'd be happy with that because currently he is our big name, focal attacking player who other teams will look at and feel they may need a plan to concentrate on him.

But to say that Hazard has been a big game player for us is seriously pushing it in my opinion. Without going back properly, I am pretty certain I have come away from watching big games more often than not and thinking Hazard did not do enough, or impose himself on the game like you would expect him to. The PSG games, Barcelona games he didn't show up; we've lost a fair few games to the big teams over the last 2 seasons that I don't think he has performed in and he was anonymous in the FA Cup final last year too.

He will go down as a legend of the club for what he has accomplished, and quite rightly, but he is still light years away from Lampard, Drogba and Zola in my opinion with regards to his status.

And if he does leave in the summer, we may not find a player as naturally talented as Hazard and may need to change our game accordingly without him but I do think that there are players out there who have a more ruthless mentality to their game who could replace his goals and assists.
