Like Conte flipped the switch on Costa and Hazard's off the ball movement. Costa dropping off instead of running in behind while Hazard running in behind instead of dropping off. Put his head up once, saw Matic, waited for him to run into space, turned the Southampton player, and played that pass with the outside of his foot to Matic with amazing precision without looking. Whether it was down to Mou and his style of man mabagement or what we will never know. But the difference in the lads now and then is amazing. The Don has got them actually working as a team/ Not just a gtoup of good individuals like the current Mounure. Conte is doing wehat Claudio did last season. When you get Eden coming out to start a 2nd half doing this you know that the guy is buzzing his tits off and all the lads must be feeling this way. Watched Jose's post match interviews yesterday from last season. In his final interview after the Leicester defeat he actually blamed Hazard (and Oscar) for not scoring more, as if this was the core of our demise. No wonder he was shit with such attitude from the manager, putting all the pressure on him to score when we had no attacking plan and he had to play auxiliary full-back most of the time. In a properly drilled team, given the freedom he needs, he is unstoppable. Listening to Jose without blue tinted glasses on, I could hear so many hints towards Hazard's underperformance and weak mentality, while praising the likes of Fabregas and Ivanovic for "not playing well, but understanding their mistakes and coping with it"... really? Man management at its worst. So glad we got rid of him and brought in Conte, or we would have lost Hazard no doubt and played with uncreative workhorses like Willian and Pedro on the wings (reminiscent of the Kalouda days).
