BlueLion. 21,491
Jose said If we had eight, 10 or 12 goals, we would be top of the league. That's Lukaku and he chose to loan him out. This is despite him also saying that he could improve a 20 year old player but not a 30 year old player. To be quite honest I'm perplexed as to what Jose actually wants. But as you so quickly jump to remind us all, Mourinho has forgotten more about football than we'll ever know, so we can't be critical Just pulling your leg. You can be happy/unhappy about Lukaku going out on loan (I'm ambivalent about it: I think we'll see a better player for it as he's getting twice the gametime at Goodison), but that won't change anything. The only place to be 11,313
But as you so quickly jump to remind us all, Mourinho has forgotten more about football than we'll ever know, so we can't be critical Just pulling your leg. You can be happy/unhappy about Lukaku going out on loan (I'm ambivalent about it: I think we'll see a better player for it as he's getting twice the gametime at Goodison), but that won't change anything. The problem is that the things Mourinho seems to be forgetting only happened in August of this year. :eyebrows:I think Lukaku will be a better player next season, but I think that would've been the case if he had stayed here too. As the skipper points out, Mourinho never seemed willing to give him a chance and that is why it's probably a good idea that he went to Everton but you can't help thinking that if Mourinho had stuck him in the team then maybe he would be that 10 goal striker that he seems to want.Instead he brought Eto'o out of semi-retirement....well almost. He's 50% out of semi-retirement.
Popular Post! JDY 1,290 Posted December 11, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted December 11, 2013 Successful dribbles in 14(2) appearances (minus last 3 games) = 40Successful dribbles in last 3 games (Sunderland - Stoke - Steaua) = 36 If he shoots more and becomes consistently good at getting those shots on target he will be incredible. Barbara 15,149
yet another solid match for him. He seems to finally be in the zone of his game, now it's only about adding confidence and stats to his attitude. He seems a different player, he's more objective, more incisive and I do agree he should be shooting more, but I guess the most important is the change in his attitude in the three points I've talked about after the Sunderland match: 1) staying up more often instead of expecting fouls to be called; 2) dribbling in positions that while risky pay off with good chances in counter-attacks or shooting, 3) shooting more (even if he did a bit less yesterday, it was still way more than before).Let's not forget the kid is 22. I think he's progressing now and hopefully soon (as in next season) he'll be able to become the indisputable best asset in the team, winning us matches often. kellzfresh and Tomo
meetdoscar 335
Solid game. Unfortunately he doesn't like shooting he would be greater if he could be more direct like schurrle the same goes for willian. Barbara

Popular Post! Hamilton 2,120 Posted December 14, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted December 14, 2013 Eden thinks his brother Thorgan has enough quality to succeed at Chelsea. And is looking forward to a possible WC with him."It would be unbelievable to play together at the world cup. It would be exceptional to go together with him to Brazil. Offcourse if i get a call-up to." (Smiling)Thorgan has a big chance of winning the Belgian golden boot next month."And why wouldn't he? He has a bigger chance of winning that trophy then i have a chance of winning the golden ball. He is so important for his team. I'm convinced that Thorgan has enough quality's to succeed at Chelsea. If he plays by my side next year i can not tell, that's not my decision to make." Stingray, Sovieticus, ZanSnake and 2 others
johnnythefirst 1,076
He'll win that trophy for sure, but Eden is a bit optimistic about his brother's chances at Chelsea I'm affraid. A loan to a mid table premier league team would be a good test next year. Hamilton

johnnythefirst 1,076
Not necessarily the best player, but the player who played the best last year. And De Bruyne just didn't get a real fair chance...

Bir_CFC 3,455
We need to just play Eden and Willian every match now. They have started clicking and just keep playing them and build that partnership. Once they begin linking up like Mata and Hazard used to last year, they could probably dribble through a whole team themselves. yuvala and Beigl
yuvala 2,167
Him and Willian are the only consiistent players lately (and Schurrle IMO).Both certainly deserve to be in the starting XI regulary, Hazard already is. DDA 9,941
Have we actually played Eden and Schurrle on the wings with Willian in the number 10 role?I tjink on current form this would be the best combination to face Arsenal with Rambo and Essien behind! Jase 43,479
Happy that Hazard seems to have improved on his consistency of late but still a bit annoyed at some of his play. Take yesterday's game as an example. He has a tendency to hog on the ball for a tad too long when a forward pass is available to be made to keep our attack flowing but instead, he dribbles with the ball too much before passing it and by then, our attacks would slowed down with opponents getting back into defensive positions already.Another point is that he keeps on coming inside and making our play so narrow. There were numerous occasions against Palace, when he was playing and attacking down on the right side, he should be going on the outside/get to the byline/go behind the defence rather than coming in and make everything so congested in that central area.
