Belgiannutt 3,201
Hazard has never publicly said a bad word about Mourinho. He's always been respectfull when talking about Mourinho. This isn't any different. He was asked directly if he would we willing to work under Mourinho again. What did you expect him to say ? "Work under that nutjob again ? Fuck no. Jase 43,479
Sarri on Hazard... https://www.football-italia.net/129263/sarri-hazard-and-chelsea-can-grow “Hazard is immense and I don’t think even he knows how much he can still improve. I said he could end up in the tight circle of the best three or four players in the world. “The problem is he plays to enjoy himself and at times doesn’t realise the importance of moving from fun to reaping the rewards. At the end of the day, you’ve got to get the fruits of your labour. “Hazard’s approach is a positive, but it can become a potential limitation too. He needs to lift his head up, look around and realise there’s a whole world in front of him that he can dictate with his feet for the good of the collective and not just the individual. “He said such kind words about me, I wasn’t expecting that. His contract expires in 2020, but he’s staying here. I was tempted to use Hazard as a centre-forward and I might consider it again in future, but it’s not the right time now. We need to believe in Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata. Johnnyeye, jabj24, Fernando and 1 other
BXL70 396
The guy is talking quite too much. Real, Ballon d'Or, Mourinho, etc. Every day another story. He is very big headed. Someone should tell him for good he is not Messi or Ronaldo. The players of the Belgian national team and Hazard in the first place are still convinced they were the better team during the WC and they should have won it. It was all down to France, the pitch, the weather, the referee if they did not make it . Wow. He was further disappointed that Real did not even make an offer for him last Summer. After all, I can understand Real. Where was Hazard when we played Barcelona last year? I have seen Messi on the pitch, scoring 3 goals against us; and he shut the f. off. Hazard: start trying score 40 goals in a season, every seasons, and then we could eventually consider that you are a world star. It is not the case for the moment. By far. Calm down mate. We are Chelsea. robsblubot, Johnnyeye and Antonio8
robsblubot 3,595
^^ That's how I feel when folks compare Eden with other players, who led their sides in CL and to trophies. I'm not saying Hazard is incapable of doing that, just that he hasn't done that. I personally consider his CL performances, in general, VERY subpar for the player he is. @Jason IMO Sarri is speaking TO Hazard, not about him. He's telling him what he needs to do to get to the next level. Lift his head up and play to the strength of the team. Football is a collective game, and there is really very little a single player can do if the team does not work. That side, the vision - seeing the game and the best way to influence it - is what I think KDB had an edge over Eden. On the contract situation, if Eden wanted to stay he'd have already signed a new deal long before and would be one of the highest paid players in the word. IMO the only reason he has not is because he does want to leave and go to RM. Yes, there is a chance they won't move for him, but I think they will esp because he won't be that expensive being in the last year of his contract. RM can get Neymar AND Eden, or Eden AND Mbappe... yes they are that rich and all players want to go there. Johnnyeye
!Hazard! 3,394
All players talk too much these days.....why that is I do not know. I'd prefer if they were all mute to be honest since they rarely say anything worth listening anyways Johnnyeye

It's fine as long as he performs to justify the hype, but I'm worried about complacency a bit. When you declare yourself the best at something, then there is nothing left to improve yourself upon, you've reached the peak and you become comfortable where you are. I suspect Sarri's comments recently are an attempt to bring his feet back to the ground. It's clear we are a fall-back option in case "his dream" don't come in with a bid. It's a slippery slope when a player feels the club needs him more than he needs them. But... if he keeps performing like he has and takes us top 4 and then leaves for greener pastures, I will not hold any grudges - still a legend. Those cunts owe us one after the Salah nightmare. A front 3 of CF Piątek, LW Chiesa and RW Bailey is vastly superior to what we have now, even with no Eden and Piątek being a newcomer to monster status. The comment he made about 'being best in the world' was just him being cheeky as usual with the Belgian/English media. Questions like 'are you the best in the world today' are stupid questions anyway, and Hazard answers those in kind. Remember, this is a player who, just 2 weeks ago, was asked to name the 3 best players of the premier league and never put himself in that list. As for the Mourinho comments, nothing surprising. Him, Drogba and Mourinho were really close during that 2014-2015 season. He might dislike Mourinho's tactics, but I don't think he has anything against the man. Same would apply to Conte as well. I actually like Hazard being open about everything. It is refreshing to see players like that in this age. It might grate some fans, but I still think its better than the players who say one thing and then stab the club and its fans later.

Take away his flirting with Madrid (pretty much since he joined us) and you get the most level-headed, modest pro you could imagine. That’s unprofessional to say the least. besides, his actions, by being unwilling to negotiate a new deal, perfectly match what he says, esp lately. Piatek still needs more time to develop before thinking we can just place him as no.1 striker for a major club. Luiz gets far too much criticism by our fans. It's not like he runs to the press every chance he gets to talk about Madrid, it's mostly during international breaks where (oftten Belgian) journalist ask him the same questions. Should he avoid them? He probably should, but he's too friendly. Concerning his new deal: You don't know how his contract negotiations are going, so not sure why you say he's unwilling. He's at a crossroads in his career, he's at the right age to look for that last supertransfer, but then for the first time at Chelsea he has a coach that plays to his strengths while promising signings have been made. Surely you can see the difficult choice he has to make?
DYC. 7,542
Hazard hasn't become big-headed. He's always made comments like that. The level he's playing at right now and the worldwide adulation he's been receiving of late (heavily) increases the impact of these kinds of comments. But they've always been tongue-in-cheek. He's a joker. I do agree with the fact that this is much. I've never had a problem with him being open. I don't have a problem with any player being open. But the frequency has gone up and it's a bit much now. He needs to be smarter. As for the transfer rumours, I anticipated this. When he signed, I never expected him to stay to the end. He's not British and these kinds of talents are wanted all over the continent. I'm sure he used to fantasise about playing for a couple of top teams. Real Madrid representing the peak of the mountain. A move after a few years at Chelsea was always the most likely route. But something obviously changed. He likes his current situation. It's possible he even loves it. So does he stay at Chelsea? He's happy here so a move away isn't necessary. If he leaves he might end up even happier. But he could also leave and not feel as happy as he does at Chelsea right now. Dreams don't always match reality. It's a very difficult decision. So I understand him. But right now it's a bit much with the Real talk. bigbluewillie

Longer we wait, the less we get, possibly zero for Hazard, if we drag it out till summer after next. Kante doesn't impress me as a non DMF destroyer (which he is the best in world at). Why wait and lose well over 150 million pounds total plus in valuation? Eden isn't renewing, it high time we faced this fact. Our board is shit and will end up destroying our future. Roman is a spent force, needs to sell to another billionaire worth far more. At the rate geo-politics is going, ALL his Western assets will be seized, including CFC. Doubt me, mock me, watch it all unfold.
OneMoSalah 8,886
Really like the fact he’s playing unbelievably but this whole Madrid and dream shit is doing my box in. If it wasn’t Hazard it would be a big deal too. He should stop talking/entertaining these questions, it’s not the first time and all this doesn’t want to leave the club on bad terms means fuck all to me if he is going to continuously say shit like “its my dream” and “Real Madrid are the best club in the world” in a weekly or monthly basis when we’ve got more important goals like getting back in the CL at least. Regarding Spain/Real, Courtois said something similar years ago which wasn’t construed as nothing but a general comment and then look how that eventually panned out. Sure Eden isn’t Thibaut but he should respect he has a contract and more important things to concentrate on this season than a move to Real Madrid (improving, helping club get best finish and having better individual consistency than we’ve seen at times during last season and also 2/3 years ago). I guess people will say we should let him off with it because he’s a world class player but I don’t think so, it’s disrespectful to the club and his team mates. How many world class players do this?
