The Big Drog 1,110
I don't find tiki taka fun to watch, i'd rather watch Real Madrid, they play better football as far as i'm concerned.Ibrahimovic didn't work out - wasn't that because Pep decided to put him out wide and play Messi in the middle? not sure but i remember him scoring a lot of goals, before having problems with Pep.He scored goals but Barcelona fans weren't impressed, the consensus at the time was that he was something of a hindrance to the way Barcelona play, despite being a wonderful player. themightyblue 443
It would be deluded to think he'd get us to play like Barcelona, Guardiola isn't as naive as Avb. That Barcelona philosophy comes from years of investment and work into their academy structure where these ideas were drummed into those players as a kid. Guardiola isn't an idiot and know's we couldn't do an aggressive pressing and attacking game, maybe in a couple of years we'd switch to something similar, but in the short term i think he'd just get us to play better football. Only one team can do what Barca do, which is why it'd be different if he comes here
YouNameIt 1,511
I would absolutley vomit and feel sick if we went for Pep. And mark my word, he would be fired after max 1 year.
Swedish House Mafia 508
We're going to play attacking football, not tika tiki taka or whatever. There's a difference between the two.
Sheva. 5,373
If he comes here, he better not try to do stupid shit like the high line or 3 man defence.

Nic! 301
You guys DO know that Pep might/does have some other tactics than the Barca-one? You fit the tactics based on the players, not the other way around.

You fit the tactics based on the players, not the other way around.Said this myself, Peps not a one trick pony, he can do more than tell messi xavi & co to go out there pass the ball between them for 90 minutes and give the ball to Messi at some point so he can go and score a goal, we won't be playing Barcelona football, we'd be playing our own brand of attacking football
Kostas 1,468
Even mr diamond Carlo Ancelotti changed his tactics not long after he changed team. How many times are we going to make the mistake of thinking managers are anything but managers.

KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
At least some people in this thread are reasonable and acknowledge that Pep is is a pretty smart guy and will adapt his tactics. Others however.............

jjd06e 37
I think our early adventures in the transfer market were to convince pep to come. We can run his system a lot better with hazard, hulk and modric (showing interest again according to reports)
capriccioso 2,545
Pep isn't going to happen, he wants a proper break. A couple of months isn't going to content him, I think he said in his last press conference he wants a whole season off.
