Popular Post! BlueLion. 21,491 Posted March 5, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted March 5, 2013 His haphazard style makes him an exciting player but a potential disaster in a Premier League side.Put him in a Spanish team and because their playing attitude is so laissez-faires he would be considered a great. Muzchap 8,966
Both him and Ramires were a waste of money (compared to what we could have got), £40m+ respectively. And yet, due to the positions they play and the semi-large sums for a club like this, they will never be branded as flops like Torres is. Luiz made an instant impact with goals, I think that must have made a lasting impression, 'that and his personality'. At least it's now being widely accepted Ramires is a utility player at best, with no place in the current or future XI setup. As 'first teamers' their level is Europa League, oh wait.. But hang on a minute... Are we saying a players potential is not intrinsically linked to a club?We have had no managerial stability, no coaching ethos, no chance for players to be drilled tactically - military style until it becomes second nature...Everything we do on the pitch - looks like a collection of players - not a team... Now, some players need the team element - hence why average Swansea, Norwich and Wigan players look good on the ball - as the team and coaching ethos allows them to do this.I think both Luiz and Ramires have suffered - they needed a strong manager to instil a playing style for them in the EPL - that hasn't happened, they've basically played in a few positions and never been given a long term chance. Yes Luiz and Ramires are wasteful in possession - but the Brazil team has good movement and understanding - we don't have that at Chelsea!I have been saying for ages our attacking shape and ideas are awful and easy to defend against - we get in great positions then slowly pass the ball all the way back to the keeper... Instead of finishing the attacking sequence... So in summary a Great manager can get players playing at levels beyond their natural ability. We haven't had this for a while - it is sorely needed... Mufassir08 2,400
The best position for him is the DMC for me the in future, too inconsistent to be a long term CB, rather have Kalas or Chalobah there.Kalas is a now mainly a right back while chalobah is now a holding/box to box midfielder. Popular Post! The Skipper 20,609 Posted March 11, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted March 11, 2013 Surprised this thread is so quiet. Barely no one praises Luiz when he has a good game, but are easy to criticise him heavily after a bad game, even some saying that one bad game is proof we should sell him and that he's not good enough etc. This is why I say the criticism he gets is over exaggerated. semiller1313, Rambo, Rmpr and 14 others

Couldnt agree more. Ive said the same thing before and this is simply proof of it. For some reason people seem to think Cahill is our new Terry and Luiz is nothing but trouble. Todays game proved that wrong, once again... The Skipper and Tomo

Bir_CFC 3,455
Just shows that if he go to a high-line, high pressure game, he'll be amazing at it. I still think Cahill isn't a bad partner to him but they need a good run of games in this new style to understand each other's games. Spike 12,049
Butthurt much eh ? XDYesh Ironic that when you actually calles Torres a cunt or like any shit word . It's like a wankfest , everyone joins that and start insulting him , though he is clearly not responsible for our shitty season and about David Luiz , well what's the use of the effort he puts in day in and day out when he clearly hasn't got a fricking clue what's his job -__- #LuizLadI hope you realise your own hypocracy. I just wanted to let that out.
TrippingStep 336
The british press is overly critical on him.I understand some of the critics but some by the pundits were ridiculous I thought.Like when he goes to a side blocking or slowing down an opponent on the wing, It's not bad play like some "experts" say; better doing that than staying in the middle, offering much more time for the opponent to pick up running players from behind. CHOULO19 24,332
Yesterday he was both instrumental when everyone else in defense made mistakes, and catastrophic in his own mistakes! Our whole defense is just so frustrating, atm. xPetrCechx

Santiago. 1,500
Always wondered whether Ivanovic was doing that purposely, or if that really scared the shit out of him I am 100 percent sure that if We play this------------Luiz------------Hazard---Oscar----Mata-------Mikel--RamiresIt would be more effective than with having Torres. 100 percent.
