Corner 456
"I said to him as we got on to the pitch: 'Where shall I play?' He said he'd play the holding role and that I should go forward. I said OK but, when the game started, I looked up and he was already up their end of the pitch."-John Obi MikelStrange that Benitez didn't let them know what roles they were to play. I can't imagine him saying 'decide between yourselves.'

Miracle 249
That Mikel story is complete bollocks. Is it the Guardian or was is the Fail? Look at how it's written.. to me it seems clearly made up to appeal to those who thinks he's a loose cannon. The quotes read like a pre-schooler's homework. Popular Post! Jype 6,398 Posted December 16, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted December 16, 2012 I feel sorry for Luiz, he was the only one of our players who really cared deeply for the CWC but in the end he was let down by the other players and the cunt Benitez. He was easily our best player in both matches and he was in tears after the final whistle when the others just shrugged their shoulders and walked off the pitch. We need more players who give a fuck. Henrique, Tomo, Land and 5 others

Lampard was the worst player on the pitch, probably in the whole stadium. I don't think I've seen a worse Lampard performance in my lifetime. Shocking! What was even more shocking was how that idiot Benitez didn't sub him off, don't know what he was watching. Henrique
The Skipper 20,609
I love this man. As I've said before, can see him as a candidate for future captaincy. Top player. zolayes

Ramzi 233
It says something about a player that after winning the CL he still is just as thirsty if not more to win more trophies.

Spike 12,049
I'm hoping that Azpilicueta or Mata can grow into a leader. I don't think Luiz wants to be a leader of the club. I think he sees himself more as the relief, the guy that picks up the team when they are feeling down with a few jokes and generally keeps things all smooth. That in itself is a great thing to able to do but I don't think it lends itself to be a leader. I think leader has to keep a calm head and has to be at least tacticaly competent, they need to be the guy that organises everything from setpiece's to falling back to defend. If only the calmness and steadiness of Cahill and the bombastic and sociable personality of Luiz could be fused. Sometimes players like Luiz can become great leaders. If they're able to transmit all that passion and energy to the other players, that is. Luiz lacks some calmness, though. IMHO a leader has to be able to keep his head clear when difficult times come, and I feel Luiz tends to lose control when things are going off, commiting stupid fouls, becoming agressive etc. TorontoChelsea and Blue Armour

You pick the best and handling the players is the manager's job; that's why they make the big bucks.

As I said, it's not uncommon for those kind of players to become great leaders.
