Laylabelle 9,535
Shame we gave them the double but hey ho...Good result seeing as it looked as Liverpool had won it before they even kicked off! Didn't expect this tbh and yay... Vesper

robsblubot 3,595
Pool were controlled to some extent -- do not take take away what Real did in the middle and defense. Liverpool were resumed to Mane and Salah, the latter had an excellent game creating several chances out of nothing, but Real robustness made it just a bit easier for the best goalie in the world (by far) to produce the magic. (that loan in Spain was Chelsea's biggest mistake with the youth) Thought Liverpool were not attacking with enough numbers in the second half after conceding and waited a bit too long to introduce Firmino. It was a bit too reactive for me. Liverpool midfield is their weakness and it's a bad place to have one. No, none of them are bad players, but at this level, they were just facing better players... every single Real midfielder was/is better than his pool counterpart IMO of course. LAM09 7,054
Courtois showing he's the best in the world. He had big moments in the last three knockout rounds and was the MOTM by a country mile.
Pizy 18,910
Liverpool made one big mistake. They didn’t shoot between Courtois’ legs. 🤣🤣🤣
cosmicway 1,333
Courtois made the Banks save against us. Today he made easy saves.

Which made Klopp's delay in changing the formation and introducing more attacking players all the more puzzling (Diaz was having a poor game too). When you are facing a goalie who is clearly having a monster game you have to produce 2x1s against him... and pool never attacked with enough players for that (maybe a couple of times with Firmino but that was too late). cosmicway 1,333
All this hype about Courtois is the agony of the supporter really. Even a catch from a back pass makes the supporter gasp in agony. I did n't see anything spectacular, although admittedly against us he managed a Banks save which eventually gave Madrid the champions league. If Saleh had scored in the 83d minute you would be writing here "Courtois nutmegged again".
cosmicway 1,333
However for RM these are the lean years. Cristiano gone, Hazard no good.
ZAPHOD2319 4,818
I am reading on several tweets that the Real Madrid win and Hazard’s contract just earned Chelsea €20m or €25m. Nice! Johnnyeye and Blue Armour
