Same reason Liverpool paid for Ings.

Beat the rest of the clubs who could sign him for free and start a wage-war.

Kakuta is far from our biggest Flop or really a Flop atall..he`s more like a ripple.

is not like we paid a huge transfer fee and he was playing at a high level at a big club before we signed him. just a young prospect who never elevated his game to become a regular squad member for us. we have had plenty of those.

a Flop is a player who falls from a higher level of playing.
