Santiago. 1,500
If we do get by Benfica tonight, the ref will be under HUGE pressure not to give Barca everything, Because of last night and when we got robbed by Overbo.Platini will some how resign him Ref Tom Henning Ovrebo has reportedly admitted that he made some errors during last night's controversial 1-1 draw between Chelsea and Barcelona.Ovrebo is said to have admitted to UEFA officials that he made some major mistakes in the game, says the Daily Mail. This is bound to form part of an investigation into the officiating of such a high-pressure tie.
Laylabelle 9,535
Blehhhhhhhhhhhh.Major mistakes..another way of putting it.....Course its high presure but thats your job! Ideally forget the pressure and remember the obvious and blatent rules. They dont change because of whose playing and what it means...Thats the thing about the FA as well they're crap at dealing with refs. They seem to think that the way to deal with a ref who made mistakes in what may be seen as a low pressure game is to put them in charge of Man City Man U or something

And the crazy Drogba moment didnt know what he'd done till got home and saw it played over a dozen times. And could see my cousin in the background telling Ovbro to fuck off..moment of fame for her there

Jase 43,479
If he has made just 1-2 wrong calls, then fine. But he turned down 4-5 legitimate penalty shouts for us from start to finish! Simply f***ing unforgivable!!

Shane 2,275
Still, we probably should have finished it before that. That Chelsea team under Hiddink was unstoppable at that time.
francozola 2,040
I was so bloody nervous that I watched the last 5 minutes of that game in slow-motion LOL I slowed down my broadcast on the telly every time Barca had the ball in our half. Paused it for about a minute when Messi passed to Iniesta because I couldn't bear finding out what would happen. Then I played it

Madmax 9,219
Can we stop recounting that night of injustice over and over again? As thing stand, we have a 50-50 chance at payback. Onwards and upwards!

I actually crumbled to the ground when he slipped. I was already jumping up and down when he stepped up thinking there's no way he's not gonna score. and then when Anelka was standing there I knew he was going to miss so I had my finger on the "off" button on the remote and turned it off immediately afterwardsto this day still haven't seen any of Utd's celebrations
Tomo 21,751
Anelka's was the most obvious penalty miss of all time, he was beaten before he even stepped up.
Trueblue1982 48
I just dropped to my knees, was standing up ready to go mad and......... we all know what happened after that, what a night, but what a season if we did actually ............. but back to reality, lets get past Benfica tonight CAREFREE
Kojo 4,676
Can we stop recounting that night of injustice over and over again? As thing stand, we have a 50-50 chance at payback. Onwards and upwards!I only wish that could be true, but without the fire power we can't do anything agianst Barcelona, what they can't do 50 times better back to us.Yes you can say midtable teams have beaten Barca, they aren't unbeatable, but what you guys are forgetting is, Barcelona wont underestimate us. They always show up for big games!, always!, look at the begining of the season there league form was awful, but they still hammered real madrid and were another class as they've shown for years now. So they will step it up, and they will not underestimate us, i can garauntee they treat this like a big game because of our reputation, but obviously we can't live up to that reputation anymore. Laylabelle 9,535
Yeah they defintly wont underestimate us and Messi is on a completly different level. But least there is no chance in hell we would underestimate them the way it seems we have done to other teams this season and paid the price. If we do get through however one of the definate advantages they'll have is the extra rest... Beirut_Blues 306
Remember where you heared it. I really think it's our time now. Odds are highly against us and we tend to perform better as "underdogs". We had a real dip in the form and thinks looked horrible but the tide has turned now. The spirit in the team is better, we are starting to deliver and play as a team, Torres seems to get back into form and everything just feels right. Also, for some of the senior players this might be the last chance to finally get that CL title. I think most still hav nightmares after the Barca game but mostly after losing to man utd in the finals. At the very least we WILL make it to the finals and I do actually pray that Barca beat Milan because that revenge would be SO SWEET!And to all of you suckers who for some reason just love to be negative, you are no real fans. A real fan stand by their team in better and worse and never lose faith. We are Chelsea and we are the best!Great thread mate let's do it!As fans, all we can do is support and more importantly BELIEVE...Let's own Europe
