If RLC wasn't an academy player, he'd be getting a lot of "sell him or loan him" stick. Other than being big in stature what does he excel really well at to argue giving him a spot in the starting eleven? He can't even beat out Matic or Oscar who  both STILL look like shit. The striker experiment didn't pan out, what next, compete with Terry and Cahill? The club market him as the jewel of the academy and frankly he doesn't deserve any of it tbh and I think the club is afraid to loan him out after all the hype for fear of egg on their faces. He's gonna rot on that bench and get loaned out in January is my prediction.

Not a striker and formation does not suit him, but if good enough he will find his way in/force Conte to change formation, he's got a lot of potential and showed that for England u21s but does need to step up in a blue shirt

He's got potential but he'll need to become a decent goalscorer. He's def not cut for a box to box role, at least not one where you can rely on him defensively. He's going to have to model his game around Yaya Toure.

Obv can't expect him to become that good but he'll have to get somewhat close to Toure if he expects to carve out a role at Chelsea.
