nullabletype 987
Our last three results are less about what sacking AVB has achieved and more about what pandering to the players has.It annoys me that plebs like Henrique sit here smug as if they knew this would happen. The reality is we all did, but I think most of us can see it's because the humps pulled their heads out of their asses as soon as they got what they wanted, which has very little to do with AVB's quality of management. Liquidator 5,176
Unfortunately I think that Di Matteo has a natural respect from the old guard which AVB was not able to have because he was not a club legend.

Blue Armour 4,453
I think a lot of people were upset for AVB when he got sacked, (I was too, because he seemed so committed) but what most of you fail to realise is that the guy is still loved at Porto, is still young and will be back in club management soon.In short, I'm more worried about US..Avb represents another failed investment and has probably halted our progress (namely transition) for yet another season...like Terry07 said, time to move on. capriccioso 2,545
I hope young managers aren't discouraged by this. I put the lack of respect down to Villas-Boas' lack of playing career, if, say, David Beckham became a manager right now at 37 he'd get a world more of respect. That is until his players find out what an idiot he is.

Peace. 4,352
Well, today was our biggest game of the season so far.Even though, there weren't any sense of urgency to go forward or urgency in the passing game. It was a lifeless performance. No players, bar very few exceptions, looked interested about the outcome of the game. They were playing like me when playing in the park with my friends, in a sunny afternoon after a fat McDonald's. Even without a manager, this is the kind of encounter for whom you motivate yourself. Furthermore, we got rid of the "Problem", but nothing has changed. Actually, sacking André Villas-Boas did achieve fuck all, as there is the same motivation within the squad, and the players are still shit.I am feeling like players were just trolling. incometax 116
squad overhaul should of happened last summer; now we have to do it this summer without cl to offer. The only way this isn't a disaster is if roman can overlook the 40 mil loss and not sell the club(dont argue with me on this, with his courtcase the most important he dont give a **** about chelsea this season) and reinvest. Replace essien with tiote. Bring in willian for lw, bring in a rightwinger(maybe hulk may come if you offer a ton, you have to to offset no cl). Buy a bloodly rb. Tell the oldguard to fuckoff. Make a clear decision on cf. Its either torres the main man or sell him and buy falcao. A buy a bloody midfielder. And find a proper coach. At this point benitez is a great option. We only hate him cause he was lfc`s coach. The guy seriously OVERACHIEVED with the budget he had at lfc. Imagine if he had 250 mil to spend. Seriously look @ these numbers:TOTAL BOUGHT: £229,340,000TOTAL SOLD: £151,000,000TOTAL NET SPEND: £78,340,000That is Telly Tubby's transfer record @ loserpool. I am surprised you didn't say that ball crossed the in line in 2005 vs CFC Dude bought players more than you buy chips @ your local market. And the question I have to ask was it worth it for l'puke??? Look @ where they are now & I haven't even brought up the catastrophe @ Inter Milan. No, you can keep the fat waiter on your team. Laylabelle 9,539
I dont think it was so much the budget..he's tactics at times were mental! Loosing a game..take off your goal scorer and confuse the hell out of other players. He seemed to be very hit and miss and even with money I dont think he could make things work
TacticalBlues 2,817
Like I said before the sacking, short term salvation. Which it did, with wins against Napoli - but in the long term, the actual effects on our season? Not much. All we really did was lose a big attractive point, which openly tantalized Hazard and lost around10 million or something. He had his faults yes and his inability to mold a plan B was fatal, but at the end of the day it boils down to the players and their aging legs. Egos won and the relentless cycle of sacking managers almost inevitably ensued.
Justin_3d 1,140
Proberly nothing good for the rest of the season. But he is not the next big thing you all want him to be!. He is a little arrogantman which ideas dont work in this club. Lets see how you all react when next season is without CFC playing Cl, or even EL!.But suddenly everybody thinks he is the next messias, for god sake wake up!. Why the f... did we sack Ancelotti?!!!?, Boasaint worthy to polish his shoes that little... SACK boas now!And NO i didnt want Ancelotti sacked, i was pissed by our idiot owner and his boards dicission but accepted it at the end. Miss his smiley to.(-;Needed to go back and agree with Henri here.Roman and the board screwed up firing Carlo for AVB.If they hire Moyes, I think sanity will be restore. But if they go for Benitez....

Superblue 6,372
No Champs League will definately mean no Mourinho or Guardiola. Let's get a manager with a track record of building teams. David Moyes would be a good bet, but I think the best manager for us would be either Fabio Capello or Louis Van Gaal. Both vastly experienced, both demand respect and a 'do it my way or out' mentality and both don't give a shit about reputations. The likes of Drogba wouldn't last 5 minutes! The only ones who did well were Xabi Alonso, Reina, Sissoko, Agger, Kuyt, Torres, Arbeloa, Mascherano, Benayoun, and Skrtel. Which gives him a success percentage of 13.1%, thats rubbish; can you imagine what dross he would have purchased with the 400 million Roman gave us during the early years of his ownership? Mohamed Sissoko, Peter Crouch were ok, but Rafa didn't care for them. My favorite Rafa fail??? Robbie Keane that was comedy how that all went down. Kostas 1,468
Some terribly long overdue luck and refereeing decisions (even in Europe). On a less important point, we actually chase games, but only when they look lost.
