Magic Lamps 11,692
We should have kept hold of him. He still had 4 years on the contract, enough time to make him increase his value on loan. He had and still has no place here. He does not defend enough for mou, does not have the pace for the wing. He needs a free role where he can take a break from time to time and is allowed to take half a dozen shots per game.It is just funny how we thought Schürrle was the better KDB. How fast things have changed.
zolayes 14,489
I see him in the pl next season. City, United or Liverpool will go for him.I don't think he will come back I'm sure he is enjoying his football there MichaelDance
Pizy 18,902
You have to say, at least offensively, he'd be better for us than Oscar is. Kev would be putting up huge stats with the players we have now. This may very well be one we seriously regret selling if he joins a PL rival soon. Slaying the Bundesliga. zolayes

BleedsBlue 1,549
I see him in the pl next season.City, United or Liverpool will go for him.Nah he won't rush the decision now. It'd be best if he stayed another season so that he could get some valuable experience in the CL. Honestly, Arsenal would be a good club for him. MrBlueGuy 1,552
Tbf at the time he was worth only 20m max, think we got a good price for him. Now he is at least 40m because Wolfsburg are rich themselves. Don't have to beat ourselves up for letting him go cheaply. nadavTKL 1,787
I admit i never thought is that good, seems like i was wrong, but i would like to see him in a better team to be fully convinced, its not always easy for his type of style (needs the free role, spaces, not to defend that much). Anyway cant see him succeeding here even if he stayed. But if we wouldnt sold him last summer imagin the amount of cash we could get from him... 30-40 miliion easy. BlueLion. 21,491
Brace yourselves - "de Bruyne is better than Pele" posts are incoming.EDIT - shit, too late. SAVE YOURSELVES. Yes, he played well today. But he wouldn't play like that for us. He isn't a Mourinho-type player. We can always re-sign him if we really want to. yuvala

Slaying the Bundesliga.No. He most certainly would not be developing the way he is now were he still here. Kevin is given a lot of creative license at Wolfsburg. He's free to make mistakes. You put Oscar in that team and allow him to do whatever he wants with the ball, he'll also look impressive too after a season. WNDS 502
He's undeniably a better no.10 than Oscar is, but with the team we have now that's mostly irrelevant. Having De Bruyne, Fabregas, and Matic in the centre of the pitch would be asking for trouble against any side that is half-decent in possession and/or has fast, pacy players in their midfield; when out of possession we would be much too easy to outmaneovre on a consistent basis. Bir_CFC 3,455
Jose would have kept him, if Kevin was willing. The world cup really forced his decision. His quality should have never been in doubt. At his best, he can produce Mata level stats.
Pseudo 92
Mou always shackles his players. KDB would not have been the player he is today if he had stayed. zolayes

WNDS 502
but willian is better at tracking the fullback. And this is relevant how, exactly? De Bruyne is NOT a winger. When he plays wide, he is far less effective and much less productive as well.
