JDY 1,290
Has been really impressive lately. Arguably better than JT in his last few appearances in fact. Barbara, Tomo, Sheva. and 1 other
remains of the day 564
Kinda late but whatever. Can't deny this facet of his game. What a tackle that was. Remember this moment in the game so well and I thought, well shit.....that ball is going in the back of the god damn net, then out of nowhere came Cahill with that tackle. Just unbelievable. He's seems a lot more assured in his defending and just.....more confident. Hopefully that continues. Barbara and Ainsley Harriott

Even though I'm not his biggest fan, he has been convincing me, he's looked so much better and it is great to see. Maybe playing with JT has given him more security and Mou's influence is definitely helping him. Credit to Gary for changing a lot of people's views on him. remains of the day and Barbara

I remember a bore draw @ the Bridge a couple of seasons ago when Adebayor had a empty net & GC came out of nowhere & stopped a sure goal. Then remember back in the FAC Semis vs spudz when GC stopped Bale? I love GC. The guy has made me forget about Alex, who I wanted to stay @ CFC. GC might not have the offensive game as Alex, but he brings more in the defensive end which we need at times. Since he came to CFC, he has been more like a Good Luck Charm. There are only a couple things Gary needs to strike off his CFC Bucket list:League Cup EPL Title World Club Cup UEFA Super Cup

Not to knock Garry or anything, but the first was JT, not him, and the second was actually his mistake to begin with because he stepped up when he shouldn't have. But still, it is undeniable that Garry is one of the best last-ditch defenders around. I always said, that physically and even technically (in terms of tackling, heading..etc), he has the ability to be world-class. It's his reading of the game and decision making that is average. CHOULO19 24,332
Are you talking about this one?still have to give him props for making the stop IMHO.I think this is the one in the added time against Tottenham when it was 1-1: Can't find the one where Garry stepped up then caught up with Bale(?). I am giving him credit because like I said, he is amazing at last-ditch defensing, but I'm also highlighting another important part to his game which is his positional issues and decision making. Jase 43,479
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-set-offer-gary-cahill-2988903Gary Cahill is set to be offered a new contract by Chelsea. The England defender still has three years left on his current deal but manager Jose Mourinho has been hugely impressed by the form of the 28-year-old this season.Cahill and John Terry are his first choice as a central defensive pairing. And the signs are now that Cahill will be rewarded with a new deal that will keep him at Stamford Bridge for the next four years. Two years ago Chelsea had to beat off interest from both Arsenal and Tottenham for Cahill, paying Bolton £7million.Mourinho is aware of the part to be played by Cahill in Chelsea’s push for three trophies still on offer this season – the Premier League, the Champions League and the FA Cup.Cahill opted for Chelsea because he felt he had more chance of winning major honours. That has been vindicated when he won the Champions League and the Europa League. Popular Post! Jase 43,479 Posted January 5, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted January 5, 2014 CarloFan @CarloFan26sChelsea are reportedly set to offer Gary Cahill a new four-year contract. (Sunday Mirror) #CFC Deserved.Deserved? Yeah, guess people are only saying that based on recent performances - credit to him - but won't be long before people take a 180 degrees turn and criticize him for his shortcomings as a defender again the minute he starts to do something silly. And speaking of the new contract, he still has 3 years left in his current contract, is there any point of extending it by 1 year at this point?! I really dont see any point at this moment, just remember Malouda, who signed a 3 years extension in 2009, just to spend tha last year of his contract training with the kids. Why those guys just dont wait 2 years before offering a new contract.
