Thirteen seasons of service, three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups, Chelsea's first ever Champions League, Chelsea's top goalscorer of all time and apparently this guy is not a legend any more. I'm done.

For the last time, he is still a legend to over 95% of people here, but he has significantly fallen down the pecking order. Before this, he had the perfect image; I didn't think anyone could be more 'proper Chels' than Frank Lampard - how wrong I was.

We are not confusing being a legend of a footballer with being a lying, attention-seeking, money-grabbing cunt of a person.

The only reason why his contract has been extended is because he's done extremely well for them in the short period of time. This only proves that we made a mistake of letting him go because clearly he's still top class and is content with a squad player role.

Spot on Post really. I had this bad feeling towards Lamps since the days when reports broke out of his and AVBs rift and what he did. Then he came out and said in his pre CL-Final Interview on youtube, answering to the question of "What do you like the most about your manager", with a big grin in his face "He plays me, not like that oter fella". And that was it, I thought of him as a selfish person, who exactly knows what his power is at any time, what his value is and how he can get the best out of it for himself.

But he is a superb actor, cause Mou belived in him and trusted him, you can see how disappointed he was after he plays for city "I don't talk about players from other clubs", is his only response for a persone he a few months before would refer to as "best player and chelsea through and through, legend, and always welcomed back to the bridge"...

Even neutral fans and rival fans including the "I hate Chelsea and will go out of my way to show it" fans can never look at Lampard the same way again. before he left Chelsea, he was seen as one of the most professional and most likeble out of all our players alongside Mata. You had often hear opposition fans saying "Majority of Chelsea players are cunt with the exception of Mata and Lampard, those two are the only ones I can tolerate".

With his latest shenanigans, His image has been tainted not only from CFC fans perspective but the football world as a whole with the exception of City fans who are loving every minute of this ofcourse.

I disagree with that. We were only 1-0 up against Wigan at the time and Lampard was our designated penalty taker. Why should we of let Drogba take it just because he needed to be top scorer? That would be more selfish if Drogba had taken it. Are you seriously trying to tell me if we went in to this last game of the season for instance against West Brom and City were 1 point behind us going into the game and we were 1-0 up which is not a secure lead by any means and we had a penalty and Costa needed one goal to win the awards, that we simply should let him take the penalty over Hazard? Of course not because Hazard is our reliable penalty taker and it would not be a game you should be taking liberties with and Mourinho would not be happy, same way Ancelotti would not have been happy.

This is about a team not a player. The other Lampard criticism is fair and open to opinion but come on using that against him is harsh. When we had the game secured Lampard had no problem in letting Drogba take the next penalty. You said Lamprd knew what he was doing. Of course he did. Cole - faced incredible adversity after his move from Arsenal. Always in the media for the wrong reasons - cheating on Cheryl; shooting a kid with an air rifle - but came through it all to leave with dignity and our respect.

Drogba - played for the club despite battling malaria, whilst representing a country torn in half by civil war.

Mikel - constantly berated left, right and centre but has he ever moaned? Played out of position, vilified by fans for every mistake he makes, and played for us despite his dad being kidnapped and held hostage for ten days.

Essien - his career was ruined by injuries, but every time he played for us, he did it with a smile. Embodied passion and determination and had a never-say-die attitude, even when he was playing at RB/CB/LB in 2006/07.

Terry - nothing needs to be said about JT; he'd play if he had a limb hanging off.

Those are the players that represent everything great about this club.

Lamps has made his bed and now he can lie in it. I couldn't be more disappointed. Let me be honest, I always thought Villas-Boas was a whining cunt, but the way he was treated by Lampard was disgusting - he'd purposefully come in late for training and wave at him while he did it. It takes years to build a legacy but only minutes to tarnish it.

If this is true then I have no words. Absolutely shocked. I have always held a player's personality in the highest regard, that was the main reason why I loved him so much, I thought he was one of the rare good guys.
