Leif 6,006
Lol. Letting the highest scoring central midfielder (I believe) in history [or at least the top 5 leagues] just 'leave'. Just lol.

OneMoSalah 8,886
Dont worry guys, when Frank goes a new person to idolize will emerge from either the current crop of players or the youth system. We have plenty of world class players in the team to hopefully cushion the blow of Lampard leaving, in my eyes Juan or Eden will be seen as the next "Mr Chelsea"

The only place to be 11,313
The club isn't falling apart - it's just moving from one phase to another. Lamps, JT and Drogba defined the last decade and another group will define the next. The pieces are all there but we need to get the right man in charge to put it together. I am not saying we wont have a better player than him (because we probably will), but no one will trigger so much passion as Frankie. He is by far the most loved footballer I have seen. gr123 167
Now Robbie has gone When Jt, Frank and the rest of the old guard go it will be difficult to continue to support Chelsea simply because to me it just won't be the same club. A new era of young foreign players and a manager owner and board with no respect for the history, stadium or fans is coming unfortunately. Sorry, but that's just stupid. Chelsea Football Club is 107yrs old - players come and go, but the club moves forward. The only place to be

Hopefully another player will be able to represent everything he does at the club and be seen as the next face of Chelsea I honestly think Juan will because he looks like he will loyal and eventually end his career here

I also believe other players will take Frank's place in the hearts of new fans. However, I think we will become old people who will have to keep remembering our sons and grandsons of how good and loved Lampard was...Super Frank will always be irreplaceable! I'm pretty sure he is just like I am pretty sure he's willing to play a little less. This is not about Lampard's demands as much as it's about Roman wanting a clean break. I think it's more to do with Roman simply not giving a shit, either that or his advisors are just out and out sharks who understand the power of the pound note before they see the power of the player. Heisenberg 1,824
I still cant believe he'll go because Roman's clown and Roman of course want to do another revolution of players. The problem is the money ? Fuck, we pay Torres how much per year ? Lampard would accept to reduce his wages , because he is a winner & want to win trophies , its his mentality and by hearing him telling the journalist 'I want to play for a winning team' that sound very strange for me , its clear that he'll go in the summer because they dont want him to stay , I really dont think its because of money , because when Roman wants something he'll have it, if he want Lampard to stay he'll stay, this season for an example we became Torres FC just because the board dont want him to fail.Cant believe he'll go , really , he is the heart of the team, the captain & leader , we'll pay the price next seasons , because i really dont see these new players having a winning mentality. Jase 43,479
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/291137/Frank-Lampard-pay-cut-bid-fails/FRANK LAMPARD has told Chelsea he will take a pay cut of £100,000-a-week to stay at the club.Blues chief executive Ron Gourlay was informed Lampard would be willing to settle for a new contract worth £50,000-a-week – a massive 66 per cent less than his current deal. The proposed deal would include extra incentives, based upon his appearances and goals. But despite the attempt by the desperate England midfielder to save his Chelsea career with a cut-price offer, Blues owner Roman Abramovich still insists he will leave in the summer, when his current deal expires.Lampard has been told he can quit during this month’s transfer window, but only for a club abroad.LA Galaxy want Lampard and there is also strong interest from China. His uncle, QPR boss Harry Redknapp, would love him at Loftus Road now but Chelsea will not allow that this month.Starsport also revealed how Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to sign the midfielder and team-mate Ashley Cole on free transfers in the summer.Yet Lampard remains desperate to stay at Stamford Bridge and had hoped his two-goal performance in the 2-1 win at Everton on Sunday would persuade Abramovich to change his mind. But there has been no new approach to Lampard, who captained Chelsea in the shock 1-0 home defeat by QPR on Wednesday. He was desperately unlucky to see a goal ruled out for offside that would have seen him go joint second in the club’s all-time scoring charts with Kerry Dixon on 193. He also has Bobby Tambling’s record of 202 in his sights. But he fears he will be used less and less as the season unfolds if he gets close to Tambing’s mark, as forcing the club’s new record goalscorer to leave would be viewed as a PR disaster for Abramovich and his club. kellzfresh
